Being a fan of her series and just reading the first issue of her latest volume (new writer and artist team) I'm happy to see this though a few things came to my mind by this. I can assume this isn't Earth-65 Gwen shown here but a Spider-Gwen that is very similar as her latest issues and this has some differences (or if it is meant to be a sort of Cliff notes advertisement liberties version then). The Mary Janes know Gwen is Spider-Woman and while it does cause band problems they still support her (in fact spoiler warning Earth-65 knows Gwen Stacy is Spider-Woman and she even went to jail for two years). Right after taking care of the muggers Gwen doesn't immediately see Spider-Ham but instead another friend of hers and gets some food with him. Then Spider-Ham shows up. (this all during the first 1/3rd of the latest vol (#3 I think) in issue #1). Also for a few I'm reading that is confused by her 'Ghost-Spider' codename Gwen in the comic series hasn't called herself that yet. She just not a fan of the nickname 'Spider-Gwen' the public began calling her after she was outed as Spider-Woman and wants a new codename that might stick but hasn't made a choice to what that should be. It's indicated during this arc something will happen that will motivate her to selecting this codename.

This makes me so happy i could cry. As a huge fan of both spider gwen and animation in general I'm super disappointed in the choice of animation style but the idea of dropping 4 minute clips to accompany the first issue of a series is everything I've ever wanted and Oh man will I be back for more. Thanks mean joe marvel!

And just like that, I like Spider-Gwen again. That's how easy it is Marvel: Make her cool and fun and awkward. That is the character we love. Actually, just don't take her powers away, and don't turn her into Venom, and we are good. It really shouldn't be so hard..

Frir10 Venom was needed to be honest..... it was a way to play her character safe so she doesn’t get into a relationship with Miles. As much as I like both of them... It would be too soon.... Every host of Venom either broke up with their partner or just remained single.

@@elibautista6949 That seems a little radical to me :S You could also just never have mentioned the romantic interest again, or used the excuse of them literally living on different worlds. Making her Venom changed the character to the point where I just didn't enjoy reading the comic anymore.

Spider-gwen appeared in spider-geddon before it was taken by her sister Karn and pou there was an explosion the other spider-men thought she was dead but in the end I do not know how it turns out she is still alive, obviously she does not have her bracelet because he was taken by Karn's sister !!!! END!!!!!!!!!

I genuinely wonder what names for her were rejected if any. Spider-Woman was taken, Spider-Gwen is just illogical, and the only way Ghost-Spider works is if the actual ghost-spider character gets renamed to spirit spider like in SP PS4. It's an IP nightmare

They just finished filming. They still have to incorporate the cgi, do the score, and edit the whole thing. Just cuz it’s done with production doesn’t mean the movie is entirety finished. So calm down it’ll come when it wants to.

RIGHT there's some weird continuity thing going on here! I mean Nothing that happened in this says that she was "Dodging" the statement "i'm going to go out and fight crime before our gig" but the rehearsal didn't happen in the comic and there's a scene in between her interrupting the mugging and her meeting spider ham again that they cut. I mean we are like just about a month out from the spider verse movie so maybe because that's comming they thought it really important to give the most important pieces of an origin for her in this 4 min vid? But it seems if you were going to do that the band, the powers, the venom and the triangle friendship between gwen, pp, and harry would be the things to focus on. All hit on in the comic and in this venom and harry are COMPLETELY left out of the equation as well as the history of peter which is the ending "tbc" conflict in the comics so...... 0_o

She does know i got the first Ghost-Spider volume that ties into Spider-Geddon this video is basically a abridged verison of the first few pages. They also have the video as a comic in the volume which i didn't know about before hand so i was a bit confused why they repeated the first comic XD

Gabriel Angelson Because when she’s in the 616 she can’t be called Spider-Woman since the 616 already has one. The original Ghost-Spider is renamed to Spirit Spider.
