I love the anti-venom suit not only does it have a advantage against other Symbiotes with its burning touch, and this symbiote is completely mindless so Peter is in full control of his actions

It's how Anti-Venom came to be in the comics too, actually. Comics-wise, Mr. Negative's powers (specifically his Lightforce) purified the Venom symbiote that tried to recombine with Eddie Brock, who had been unknowingly injected with the Lightforce.

@@Blue-Apple-fc9eoYes, even Peter mentions in the game that the suit has the same power as when he was using the black suit, but without the voices. Anti Venom is kinda broken (comics at least) since it has all the perks of a symbiote, it doesn’t have the fire/sound weaknesses, it doesn’t take control over the host and it has a very strong curative power

For those wondering, anti venom can’t leave its host because it is not sentient like other symbiotes and on top of that it’s merged to the white blood cells of the user. Only weaker clones of it can be made but the original will be stuck to the owner forever so Peter is keeping it. Lee also said it’s stuck to Peter and is part of him which is why he resorted to infusing his powers in the remaining parts of venom in peters body instead of trying to destroy it because it couldn’t be destroyed.

Although... the comics Anti-Venom suit had healing powers that could heal basically anything, including cancer- you don't have to wear it for Anti-Venom to use their healing powers on you. It seems that this version of Anti-Venom only has anti-symbiote powers minus the healing though.

Anti-Venom is one of the most broken characters in Marvel. Having all the symbiote’s powers without the sound and fire weakness plus being able to purify other symbiotes is insane. And on top of all that, you still are in control of your actions. I think it’s fitting Peter would have it as his own personal symbiote but I’d be down to see Harry, Eddie, or even Flash Thompson use it

i watched the whole game and its definitely been balanced out, its a lot more effective against other symbiotes and doesnt come with the normal weaknesses, but it also doesnt seem to heal peter and is way less powerful

Given how the black suit was shown to be his gimmick to set him apart from Miles', I was wondering how Insomniac was gonna handle the inevitable moment where Peter would have to part with it for us to get Venom. Having him gaining the Anti-Venom suit was honestly a really cool way for him to keep the symbiote powers, story-wise. Also, to me, it kinda feels like a callback to the last game's climax with the anti-ock suit.

It’s amazing to see that Li actually has a bunch of guilt for his previous actions. So much so that it seems that he has learned to control his negative powers. In this sequence he seems more calm and collected rather than driven by rage. It also seems like he has done this exact same thing before with himself. Finding his inner most darkness and taking control of it.

Having Peter literally become Anti Venom is amazing. What’s even more amazing is THANKFULLY the suit isn’t just a one off power up. If you enter rage mode with any other suit on. You change back into Anti Venom suit for the duration of the rage meter. I’ve also noticed it gives your webs a pure white color and they are organic. You can use the powers anytime you want. The attention to detail on that is amazing.

Agree is cool you become anti venom every time you enter the surge mode. Tho I will say I kinda hope Insomniac patches the fact that if you use any of the black suits available, the symbiote powers should be black, not white, just to fit the suit aesthetic (like the spider arms, if you choose something like the Iron Spider they change color to fit the suit)

Same also happens with the Black Suit when you get it. You can have any suit equipped and still use it's powers. But when you activate Surge Mode, it changes your suit to the Symbiote Suit. I like that. I love the idea of the suit acting as a Spartan Rage-style power up.

I really liked Miles' character growth the most in this mission. For most of the game in its earlier parts, we see how much he was getting annoyed and maybe even a little hurt when he was starting to feel overlooked by Peter due to how much Peter was forced to put him on the sidelines to focus on his own life, but here Miles finally gets a look into Peter's mind and realizes how hectic Peter's life truly is and how much he's been through compared to him. Unlike Peter, Miles has had extra powers that help give him an edge in battle, a mentor to help teach him the ropes of being a superhero, someone to share the burden of being Spider-Man so that he didn't have to carry that weight alone and much more. Miles finally realized in his own way how he was reflecting off of Li and not thinking about how Peter must've felt the whole time and how much he needs to take over as Spider-Man more in order to help Peter get his life back on track again. It shows that Miles is learning from Li to not make the same mistakes he did and to think more carefully about the people he cares about around him and that Miles is finally understanding why Peter has been so distant lately and that he needs to let his mentor have more time to himself.

At first when Miles said “I won’t forgive you” I was confused but then I thought about it and I realized that Miles has every right to not forgive Lee he took away his father and hurt countless others and one good action is going to fix that,however he can let go of his hate for Lee and hope that Lee can make up for his actions and id say Lee is starting his journey on the path for redemption

Fun fact; Anti venom was originally Eddie Brok's, accidently created by mister negative when it contacted with Venom's remainings on eddie's (It left eddie and bonded to flash)

Actually, the anti venom doesn't left eddie as it's not a sentient symbiote, it got completely disintegrated when eddie uses it as a cure for infected spider-people back in spider island event, what flash's have is the artificial version of the anti-venom symbiote created by alchemax using of what remained sample of the original anti venom symbiote.

There is enough narrative arcs, plotlines, and characters in this game to fill out an entire trilogy of games. Idk how Insomniac manages to do this without it becoming a mess, but its impressive.

Anyone who enjoys the Venom comics knows how accurate the Symbiotes look. Not Venom but the nameless ones, they’re just called symbiotes and Insomniac did them justice. This game is one of the greatest technical sequels (since Miles is a spin-off) edit: just had to capitalize Venom

Something I love is that all the symbiotes look like the symbiote squad from the lethal protector comics. The big grey symbiote is Riot, MJ is Scream, and the others are Phage, Agony and Lasher. That leaves one spawn of Venom. Carnage

As I was playing through, I noticed they didn't refund skill points I put into Symbiote powers. Suspected they'd find a way to bring it back, but was completely surprised and impressed with how they did it. Great way of combining compelling narrative with practical gameplay continuity - but like some others I'd like a small customisation option to revert the powers back to black if I'm using an alternate black suit symbiote costume

Interesting seeing how they tried to balance out Venom and Antivenom. Antivenom still has it's broken elements from the comics (all of venoms strengths, none of its weaknesses), but they've boosted Venom to be more than a match for it. As far as regular Venom goes this might be one of his most powerful incarnations and it seems his weaknesses have been reduced too. Fire seems to do virtually nothing to him and while sound still weakens him it doesn't seem to do so to the same extent as in other media, like I doubt sound would kill them when bonded. I will say though that to balance out Antivenom I think they should do what they did in the red goblin arc. Just make it finite. It doesn't have a mind so is seemingly less of an actual lifeform itself, rather an extension of its bearer. With that in mind it would make sense that it doesn't replenish itself like other symbiotes.

Thing is only FLASH'S Anti-venom had the finite limit to it because it was artificial and a copy of the original Anti-Venom so barely any Light force in there Eddie's version could cure ppl for days and not have to spend his symbiote up

Anti-Venom already seems to be nerfed in the game. It buffs peter up but it does seem to be finite since it was created from traces of the symbiote on Pete's body. When he fights Venos and gets the short end of it, you can see the suit all tore apart, wich pretty much never happens with the original symbiote.

Mr. Negative and the symbiotes are very similar because Mr. Negative and the symbiotes have one thing in common, they both see the negative side of things, that's why when Mr. Negative and a symbiote are bonded, they become positive two things negative become positive that's why anti venom symbiote is a counter for all symbiote

@@travtagonist3no. The anti venom suit isn’t like other symbiotes. It’s not sentient and can’t be passed on since it’s literally part of the hosts white blood cells. It doesn’t have a mind of its own. Lee also said this in the game. He tried to drive the synbiote out of Peter but he couldn’t so he resorted to just giving the symbiote his powers to purify the evil in it so Pete could control it. It’s stuck with Peter.

That won't happen, anti-venom's host in the insomniac universe is peter so there's nothing to worry about it in terms of power cleansing peter since he's the one in control and also yes, he can cure others like harry to any diseases if we given a chance to see what his anti venom can do in the future.

Ok as someone seeing the aniti venom suit for the first time (never read comics much), i thought it was cool. But then to find out from these comics its an actual thing and not something Insomniac made up (which btw im all for them doing in general). Thats cool. In general i figured Pete would be able to keep the symbiote powers cause gameplay wise it doesn't make sense to take everything away and not refund the skill points. But i had 3 different theries on how it would happen and this one wasn't one fo them.....and yet it was better than what i came up with. Miles gets closure, Li gets a new perspective, Pete gets the tools he needs. Love this game
