Really glad I could help you man! You can also free roam as young pete which put the biggest smile on my face when I found out. Yep! You'll be inside the Oscorp tower, then later in the mission you'll go outside and you'll see the same thing shown in the video where the soldiers confront Venom in Times Square.

Theres a mew method, after you beat kraven after he visits his moms grave during the black screen when the game switches back to peter close app and reload and of dome correctly you shouod spawn as peter, just do a side mission as peter then quit out of it then boom, free roam venom (with crimes too)

Yeah I completely feel you bro since it's one of the funnest glitches to do. If you have the physical version you could reinstall the game without updates to bypass the patch! That's the benefit of a physical disc, although you probably bought it digital like me.
