The intro played the plot of one of The Animated Series episodes. And finally the developers made a game that felt as fluid as the character's reflexes.
This is the only game I fully remember from playing handhelds as a kid. This must be a testament to its quality. Regardless of the limitations in sound, the music is still fairly good! I must revisit this little game. I’ve finished it a million times I’m sure.
This was one of the first games I ever got obsessed with. Not sure if I ever beat it but I was like 3 or 4 and at that point I was more focused on having fun with the game rather than completing the objective. The background music was so repetitive but groovy that it still runs through my head sometimes lmao. I’ve learned a few different instruments now and I find myself accidentally writing bits from this and other gameboy color/snes/ps1 games
used to play this all the time as a kid in the backseat of my parents car on long trips. Took a lot of work from what I remember but I was able to beat it.
The music that played after beating Doctor Octopus has been in my head for so many years but I couldn't remember which Spider-Man game it was until I saw this video. I must have been eight or nine years old when I played this and the only thing I can remember was beating Octopus. Fast forward 22 years later I'm reunited to this. Thanks for the video.
I remember borrowing this from a kid I know on my school bus. I beat it twice and gave it back to him the next day. I remember liking it but that was 21 years ago. Over the next decade or so I got as many portatable Spiderman games as possible until web of shadow expect the gba electro game. Besides the gba version of Spiderman 1 and the ds version of Spiderman 2, I beat them all with the GBA Spiderman 2 being my favorite with some 3d levels sprinkled in there. These games are mostly a distant memory but its great just to see this again.
This game is up there right next to pokemon silver as my favorite gameboy games. To this day the soundtracks pop in my head from time to time. It really is something special.
I still have clear memories of buying this in NY, back in 2001. Shrek was about to release and hoardings/posters of the movie were plastered everywhere I turn. Can't believe it has been 2 decades since then!
It was going to be localized in Japan by Success Co., Ltd. but due to rising Japanese sales of Game Boy Advance, the Japanese version was never materialized.
this brought back so many memories, its been years but i remember the music, and at one point i was like "oh he should get a password" and sure enough at the end he fight dr oc, i had this as a child, any one else remember getting the spider man action figure that was half spider half human he had 8 arms, and his head was a spider on a human body?,. my love for this music brings me to believe why my music sense of taste is what is, if yall like chiptuny music check out "Miguel Angeles - lil horns theme"

B and A one after the other to throw a web for stunning enemies (you have to do it quickly). If you mean for web swinging then it's A to jump and while in the air press A again and hold it.
