To be fair, in the comics Venom is undetectable by Peter's Spider sense. Has something to do with when they were bonded together, his physiology doesn't recognize Venom as a threat. But that doesn't excuse Green Goblin being able to sneak up on him.

Not if you actually understood the character. The point of the scene was to demonstrate how much of a sociopath Eddie Brock is. Its hinted at in the beginning where he sees Gwen hanging on for dear life but values taking pictures of what's going on over actually giving a reaction suggesting that he cared for her.

I actually watched this the other day and was absolutely impressed with just how good of a movie this was all the way up until Harry got his memories back. the instant that happens the movie takes a hardcore nose dive and that's when everyone's complaints about the movie begin. it's like they decided to take two other movies and cram them in the last thirty mins or so of the movie.

After the Symbiote and Peter were merged Peter couldn’t detect venom. But in this video he’s talking about when they symbiote crashed to the earth. They hadn’t bonded yet so peter’s spidersence should have gone off
