*Spider-Man 3* was CHAOTIC! 

The director originally didn't want Venom in the movie but the studio forced him to include, hence the overstuffed plot points and all.

I always comment this, but I love when the landlord is the first to notice something is wrong. He IS good people, and while he likes to razz on Peter, he cares about him and knows he would never intentionally do something malicious or lash out for no reason. He’s funny comic relief and all, but he’s been watching out for Pete the whole time.

I actually love all 3 of Maguires Spiderman movies, yes including this one

I always believed Aunt May knew Peter was Spider-Man. I think she figured it out in the second movie after he saved her from Doc Ock, and by the time he came back when she was cleaning stuff out, she knew the truth and told him what he needed to hear.

In the comics, Spider-Man actually couldn't sense the symbiote. That's why he didn't notice the black goo (symbiote).

raimi definitely increased the cheesyness at times here out of spite for the studio that pushed characters he didint want to do due to not being familiarized with, like venom. thats why the movie feels a bit heartless sometimes, like raimis heart wasnt all there, and it feels convoluted. but honestly i have embraced it over the years and its not as bad in my eyes as a lot of people like to put it. a lot like to deny but cant lie it has some very memorable moments.

At the time, the Sandman turning human scene was the most expensive CGI shot in history. Also, because the "goo" is from space, it's not accustomed to sounds or heat, so fire and loud noises upset it.

He fell into a super collider or a demoleculizer. All of his cells and molecules morphed into sand and, yes, his love to his daughter gave him the strength to control the sand and come back out of the pit

One of Venom's biggest advantages is that he doesn't set off Spidey-sense. That's why he always seems caught off guard.

To me...Spider-Man 3 is about addiction. Peter Parker turning to the symbiote every time he became overpowered with anger, fear, and grief. Also his odd and changed behavior, is exactly how someone would act under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They are no longer themselves and have no moral conscience nor remorse over their own actions. It is after he hits Mary Jane when he turns to church and to God for his transgressions and to help remove the temptations that are ruining his life.

Honestly one of my favorite Spiderman movies, it may not be considered good by many others but it is by me and that's good enough for myself

The blonde - Bryce Dallas Howard is the daughter of Ron Howard who was a child star in the 50's and 60's. He also made=directed nearly a hundred movies like, Angels and Demons, Apollo 13, The Da Vinci Code, Cinderella Man, Solo: A Star Wars Story, etc. Bryce Dallas Howard was in a ton of movies like Jurassic movies, Terminator Salvation, etc. Lately she's teamed up with Disney in directing numerous Star Wars tv series like the Mandalorian and The Book Of Bobba Fett.

Also, the guy from the restaurant that was at the door in Spider-Man 2 was also the man from the first one, the wrestling announcer. His name is bruce campbell. Him and Sam Raimi are best friends so he always gets a role in all his movies

Sony owns all rights to the Spider-Man and Spider-Man related characters. Disney owns all other marvel characters, except Hulk, who is part owned by Universal. Which is why there isnt a solo Hulk movie after the 2008 version.

You guys were confused about the black goo so I’ll try and explain it a little bit. It’s a sentient being from a different planet that communicates mentally with its host. they really didn’t highlight in this, but in the comics Peter is it’s first host and it comes accustomed to his powers so it mimics his powers and look with its future hosts

I'm glad you noticed the door man, he's actually been in all 3 movies and he was sposd to be the villain in the 4th movie but it never happened

Out of all chaos, Raimi still did a great job by finishing the movie nicely

I just can't believe that Peter was fine with kissing another woman in public in front of MJ! You might expect a guy with his background to be pretty clueless about females and relationships but not THAT clueless like, damn Pete!

Such a shame they forced Raimi to shove in a third villain,wish the movie ended with Eddie getting the symbiote and becoming venom and be the focus of the 4th movie

btw there was a 4th one planned with the guy who was at the wrestling match restaurant and theatre as the villain mysterio and it was gonna be that he knew peter was spiderman so he spied on him the entire time as mysterio is a magic user who often makes fake clones of himself

The doorman from the theater who returned as the maître d' at the restaurant was supposedly meant to be Mysterio in later movies, playing different characters all over the city

The black goo is a symbiotic species, so the reason why Peter seems to get stronger when he got the suit was because in exchange for allowing the symbiote to live on him, the symbiote gave him an increase to his abilities🤷🏻‍♂️😋

Tobey Maguire will always be the best Spiderman in my opinion! Some people say he's too emotional. I disagree. The only time he's emotional is when his uncle and best friend died. Also the love of his life broke up with him. I mean how would you feel if those kind of things happened to you?

The movie was supposed to have a much darker ending where when peter removes Eddie from the symbiote instead of Eddie coming out it was his skeleton

The last time I went to Disneyland was my senior trip in High school back in '07, I'm 34 now and went to Disneyland last year and went on all the rides and had a blast. Don't know what you're talking about the older you get you can't handle the motion sickness =p I miss Tower of Terror though =(

The Symbiote theme still goes hard

My Sis took her son to see this when it came out and she liked it and she had never been into superhero stuff She liked it mostly for the positive message it had OK so it was only supposed to be about Sandman but the studio wasn't Sam Rami to put Venom and that's what crowded the storyline But at least we got to see Sandman and Venom on the big screen and it wasn't that bad A Classic

You more or less understand what symbiote is(black thing). Bonds with people, makes them stronger, but more agressive and etc. After bonding with spider man for long enough time it incorporated his powers in its dna, so basically anyone who wears it later will have spiderman like powers, but with power boost from the thing itself. Also, what made Peter use it for a long time in comics is that black suit was able to make spider web, in comics he makes superficial web and special blasters, so it was really handy. In comics Eddy is an amazing complex character as well, suit likes him second most after Peter as an owner. And yes, it is sentient.

Y'all gotta check out the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies now and the movie Venom with Tom Hardy. The "black goo" will make a lot more sense and it's a dope movie

the black substations is called a symbiont and it comes from the planet klyntar.. the symbiont doesn't trigger Spiderman spider sense which makes him and the other symbionts a very dangerous opponent to spiderman .

The black suit is a metaphor for substance abuse. Essentially was meant to highlight Peters change to haveing a huge ego in this film. Changes him into a worse person, takes his powers, and copys his memories. Thats why it gives Brock his powers. The Editors cut is even better, with one scene having the suit inside the brief case breathing in Peters hands.

Just binged all three parts. Love to see the love for the films. These movies were my everything.

I'm sure someone else has said this, but there was going to be a 4th movie until this one underperformed. It got scrapped and they decided to eventually reboot the movies with Andrew Garfield.

I remember going to see this movie with my mom, my aunt and my cousin. My aunt cried when Harry died.

This movie was absolutely baffling while watching it in the theater. Seeing both of you give this movie so many chances and then laughing about how ridiculous it is was great!

Bruce Campbell was supposed to play another villain named "mystero" but the studio desperately wanted venom in the movie so he had to subtract. Which really sucks, Bruce was in all 3 movies to set up his character, during major life moments in 1-3 Bruce/mystero is present. And technically in the rami universe Venom is still alive do that the sample Dr Connors has. Dr Connors is another major character/villain. Rami made a mcu before it was cool and it's all so subtle

Long story short, Sony owns the film rights to Spiderman (which is approximately 40 minutes or longer of Spiderman content) and marketing of Spiderman films, while Marvel/Disney still hold the rights to Spiderman for everything else. The reason why, is that in the 1990s, Marvel began developing higher budget Marvel films and needed studios to produce them, and offered a deal to Sony for the rights to the Avengers, who then turned them down and instead only got Spiderman. However, something important to note, the film rights to Spiderman can return to Disney/Marvel if Sony goes a certain amount of time without working on/releasing a Spiderman film, which I believe is approximately 5 years. The reason Tom Holland's Spiderman is in the MCU was because of negotiations between Marvel and Sony to have Spiderman be a part of the larger Marvel Universe that he originates from, which has worked out extremely well. There have been lots of ups and downs involving negotiations, but Marvel and Sony seem to have a great relationship now regarding Spiderman projects. Fun (Possible) Fact: It's heavily rumored that Disney/Marvel offered up to $2 billion to Sony to get the rights to Spiderman films back, but Sony supposedly turned down the offer. (Given the Spiderman is considered to the most popular super hero character in the world)
