Can we appreciate the fact that developers and Digital artists spent thousands of hours just to make the movie like "it can be paused Anywhere in the middle and the silhouette still looks like a scenic wallpaper". How pretty this is, totally Oscar worthy animation.

To my understanding, There is no time-travel component to the spider reverse. You are always in the present, but in a different universe

While I hope you’re right, people are saying there is. Like in the first movie, Gwen appeared a week before everybody else. And in this movie, Miguel has WAY more than 14 months of backstory. And then May Day is like a year old already. Time travel is such a cheap cop out in these movies. But it looks like they may be doing it.

Also, in the first movie, there were multiple attempts by Kingpin with the collider (I believe it was called), which the media thought were earthquakes. Gwen, Noir, Peter Porker, etc, could have come through previously to the event which brought Peter B Parker to Miles' dimension. (the first movie is not super fresh in my memory)@@robbob5302

The thing is their really is no right or wrong, good or bad side here, Miles and Miguel are both doing wrong things for a good reason and they are both understandable, Miguel is willing to sacrifice Miles dad to protect Billions of people, and Miles is willing to gamble the fate of everyone in his universe just to save his dad.

I like that it started with Gwen's story because then, we sort of understood later on why she had to betray Miles like that (she believed that she had no home left and so, she wasn't willing to go against Miguel because she knew she would be sent back to her home world).

Miguel is from Earth 2099. They are in Earth 65 (Gwen's native dimension) now as you first saw. Miles is from Earth 1610 but the enhanced spider was transported from Earth 42.

It was a little disappointing watching Kristen's blank face with all the memes, past and present Spideys, and the quotes flying by... I wish she would have finished watching the entire real-life Spider-Man series (and maybe a toon or two) before she watched this. On the other hand, Flash was his usual knowledgeable self for the most part. Also, as always, the less they spoke in between, the better they would understand...

Miles was not supposed to be the bad guy. He was supposed to be Spider-Man in Earth 42 but the spider went to main Miles' universe. He was shown in the Spot's explanation backflash about how the spider got to 1610. Also, this has nothing to do with time travel.

Jus FYI Miles G. Morales was suppose to be his version of Spider-man (if u watch the Spot's Flashback, Miles G. is shown at school bout to be bitten by Alchemex Spider 42) it was Spot who transported the spider to Miles universe. Miles would most likely not have become Spider-man in his universe much less have cost his version of Peter Parker's life.

I don't think Miles was originally supposed to be a villain I think the alternate universe Miles is a vigilante rather than a villain. You can see in these Spot's backstory that the spider was supposed to bite Prowler Miles.

Or to other Spider-Men. Like in the first movie, that’s how Miles met Chris Pine. Then later, when Miles met Peter B. Then later in the shed, when they got all six together. (Come to think of it, no alarms sound whenever Gwen and Mikes get together. Maybe love deactivates the alarm?) 🤔💓😍

For the record Dc and marvel have had lots of crossovers in the comics. They recently announced the two companies have worked together to print two omnibus’s collecting them. Dc vs marvel which collects the various crossovers and amalgam collecting their amalgam comics, a crossover where dc and marvel characters would merge into one. For example dark claw was a character who was batman and wolverine mixed and super solider was superman and captain america mixed

Miles IS The VILLAIN in this story. Think about it Risking the Entire Universe for just 1 person even if its his Dad makes him the Villain. MR Freeze does all the bad things he does For HIS WIFE how he then NOT the Villain?

I was thinking about this, and I think maybe the Captain Moraels canon event has already happened... because, as Miguel says, they are canon events for "every Spider" (notably not for ever Spider-Man), and the Capt Morales death for the Earth 42 spider has already happened. Our Miles Morales is free to save his dad because his dad's death isn't a canon event for the Earth 42 spider.
