I just wanted to say, after reflecting on this podcast for a day. The ending of this podcast was really humbling and genuinely endearing. I love seeing men show their emotions and to see two guys who I relate to so much just sit in their feelings, humbling and beautiful ❤️

i think this was genuinely one of the best movies i have ever watched. i used to have a hard time connecting to animated characters and films but both spiderverse completely changed that for me. the relationship between miles and his dad and the canon actually made me cry. it was heartbreaking the way they portrayed that whole situation. i am beyond excited for march. i havent felt this excited since endgame and infinity war. this episode was absolutely amazing, you guys are amazing 🤙🏼🤙🏼

On the subject of Gwen’s shoes, I wonder if Ballet was something her father wanted, so when she lost him and was hurting, she switched shoes.

I think it’s insane to say that this movie is “infinitely better” than the first one. Both movies are absolute masterpieces and it’s kinda dumb to imply that we need to pick one or the other in terms of which is better. Both are telling Miles story in the best way possible and it’s honestly OKAY to like this one or the first one more. Both are great and both have a purpose. The actual insane people are the ones that don’t like either of these movies

I've watched this film multiple times and I loved every second as if it was the first time I saw it. Im watching on my 4th screening, Nuevo York when Miguel was telling Miles directly into his ear that he doesn't belong there. For no reason, I start feeling tears running down my cheek. Feelings of anger and sadness filled me and I had no idea why. I've seen this scene so many times without this reaction. I do know why now. All these experiences in life where social groups, work places or literally anywhere that do not want your presence. I've accepted it, and I don't need them. Its fine, it's all fine because 'Ima do my thing.' 🕸 🧑🏾

Man, that ending nearly brought me to tears. I love you guys a ton. Greatest podcast of all time.

Favourite scene The "spider intervention" The tension and build up in that scene was perfection Especially with Hobbie's "Here we go" and "Good" exchange

This one hits the feels, the importance of this movie is very rare

I loved the ending of this video where you two spoke about your personal experiences that made you resonate with this film, and while watching it myself I felt the struggle Miles had to open up to his family since I personally don't feel like I can open up with them at all, and I'm glad you guys got to experience this with your friends and family, as I watched it alone but it was still an amazing experience Love to both of you for everything you've worked on this past year and even further

Completely agree with Andrew’s take on the ending, but knowing now that this is a movie featuring Gwen as the lead, makes more sense with the ending and changed how I felt about it’s resolution. Miles being the lead in part 1, Gwen being the lead in part 2, and my assumption will be Miles and Gwen having total resolutions of their character arcs in the final part.

I Loved the opening Gwen scene, the music just matched the vibes so well

I do understand why people have an issue with the ending for Miles, but they're not looking at it in terms of how this film is actually setup. It is essentially Gwen's film and structured around her. It opens with her and her conflict with her father. The film concludes with her resolving her issues with her father, and then putting together a team. There is a natural conclusion to her character arc. Edit- Commented before finishing the video. Great discussion guys.

First video of your I have seen and it was great. The ending made me think of this… the writers directors and everyone involved with the making of this movie accomplished what Rio asked Miles to do, which is they have looked out for all the little boys out there. They made us feel loved and that we all belong. Cheers, boys.

That take about the end of the movie is crazy. I still prefer the first but the second one is amazing and the end is not a problem. It's a perfect set up movie

In retrospect, how funny would it be if Lila came up with Canon events due to randomness bias? Like she noticed it WAS always happening, but it was a coinflip all along

I think the main point of atsv is painting Miguel as the "villain" or antagonist not necessarily the Spot. Spot in the movie is painted as the BIG Villain that will show up most of the time during btsv. This movie set up Spot being really bad in the next one

Absolutely loved the movie, 10/10 for me. Spider-Man is my favorite fictional character of all time and this movie feels like a celebration of the character as well as a great story. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a movie than Beyond the Spider-Verse next March and I think that it will end up being the best comic book movie of all time if done correctly. Definitely my favorite animated movie of all time and my 2nd favorite Spider-Man movie of all time (behind No Way Home). I cannot wait for the future of Miles and all the other Spider people in the next one. Just a masterpiece of a movie.

On the topic of the ending, i feel like this movie has a conclusion, but its not Miles's conclusion. The movie started out with Gwen struggling to connect with her band and dad, and it ends with her making peace with her dad and forming her own band/team. This movie is mainly about Miles, but it concludes the Gwen's part of the story.

I never understood how Andrew can like when Spider-Man thwips people up with his webs while swinging and dives in and snatches them, but when the Flash does it with his speed it’s a problem.

I saw across the spider verse yesterday in the cinema so I watched into the spider verse today. And it was so cool seeing the spider glitch and seeing Spot being hit by the bagel and stuff like that. Both movies where amazing I might watch ATSV again

Only complaint I have with the movie is the soundtrack. I dont think its a bad soundtrack, but the first movies soundtrack really added emotional impact more than I thought. I think the second one lacked that. Still a FANTASTIC MOVIE. 9.3/10

I think in a way I like this ending better than Infinity war. In reality we all knew the avengers would win in endgame but I don’t know if Miles will get what he wants here and be able to save his dad

I think a more fair comparison would be to Back to the Future trilogy. The first one wraps up yet has potential for a sequel however, Back to the future 2 and 3 are more intrinsically linked in terms of plot one setting up the events of the next:)
