See, here's the thing. With the symbiote suit, he has the excuse that the symbiote is affecting his psyche. But what happens when he stops cracking jokes... and he's wearing a regular suit? What I really like about Spiderman is that he’s often the last one to “snap” and only breaks after the world has broken. In Marvel Zombies he’s one of the last infected who gives into their temptations and he’s the first zombie (excluding Wasp) who realized that they didn’t need to eat people anymore. In Punisher Kills the MCU, Spiderman snaps and becomes a cannibal but again he still has his sense of humanity in the future and was willing to set aside his hunger for peace. And in one comic where he’s stuck in a nightmare world, he only snaps when the world is completely and utterly broken, turning Mr. Fantastic into a web fluid and symbiote hybrid to keep what’s left of New York together. In every instance Spiderman broke because the world was already so broken, that’s what it takes for him to become evil. All Tony needs is power and he becomes a mad god, all the Hulk needs is a really bad day to destroy the world, and all Frank needs is just a guy to piss him off. Every other hero just needs a gentle nudge to become evil while Spiderman needs the world to break for him to become a monster.

Considering what Spider-Man has been going through in the comics, at this point I wouldn't blame him. Seriously, Peter Parker has been through the ringer, just because Marvel writers are a bunch of bullies who believe a suffering Spider-Man sells more. I just want to see Peter actually be happy for once. However, since the Marvel writers are incapable of that, this scene is becoming more and more inevitable to me, you know what I mean?

I've actually been interested in the idea of a superhero story where the hero just straight up quits and deserts their people because they never appreciated the things they did for them. A story where a hero decides to walk away from their responsibilities in the face of ingratitude and betrayal could be both refreshing and thought-provoking imo.
