I think it'd work very well. Gunn makes comedies that have a hefty emotional core. Spider-man is a hero who uses his quips/comedy to mask his tragic nature and motivations. Not to mention, Gunn specializes in frantic editing and direction. Spider-man is a character who lends himself to that style of filmmaking (exhibit A - Sam Raimi).
Fantastic cut. Great work with the effects for the texts, excellent sound design, and what especially stuck out to me was how good the eye-tracing was!
Thank you for that! While it reveals some of those things they didn't want revealed, this trailer gave me goosebumps! All the emotion. All of the reality. And all of the responsibility!
1:03 my favourite part with the shot of the Statue of Liberty and the music. wow. also at the very end with the Spider-Man woohooing. imagine something like that in the original trailer if they didn’t need to hide the secret of their cameos, but of course they’d withhold any of their moments except for the posing money shot and swinging into battle.
I was really impressed that you kept the other three Spider-Men out of the trailer (as a real trailer would) but then they showed up at the last minute; still really well done though!!
