She really should’ve been. The only reason they weren’t in the comics, was because she was in love with the idea of Spider-Man and not the person. However here? She’s in love with the person. It’s implied that aunt may knew about her, and the fact they’re on first name basis likely means they dated in civilian form. It’s also never implied that her going straight was ever a ploy, meaning she likely did want to go straight for him…but like a addiction, she couldn’t resist falling back into old habits

Yeah they fumbled MJ hard in the base game. She's stupid, outright mean, and borderline toxic to him just because she's insecure about her normal human fragility. However, in the tie-in comics for the game, she's handled SO MUCH better. It's a shame lol

In the end, Peter succeeds. I also didn’t look at Spiderman: No way home so I don’t know how this would work and whether Spiderman would get over his girlfriend’s death.
