I actually really like this fight it shows some level of dedication towards Spiderman as he would probably know that he couldn't just beat Superman and it shows how creative the writers can get

Of course Superman will win it's no contest. I like how the comic showed the mercy of Superman. He's a good guy who'd rather talk things out if he can rather than throw a punch. I like to think he's at his best when he's like everyone's father figure. He cares and wants to bring out the best character in people.

I remember buying this comic off the shelf in a small department store in my home town in the 70's From my recollection it was an oversized print that appeared larger than life in my kid hands. I didn't understand that it was a Marvel/DC crossover, and I didn't realize it was something somewhat unique, but it was super cool to my kid brain. I wish I'd kept it and preserved it.t. Thanks for this vid, it was a great memory.

Don't get me wrong, I love Spider-Man I think he's awesome and his powers/gadgets are cool! Although Superman would Stomp Spiderman by base stats alone not including all of his alternative super-powers on top of that. The true mark of them being heroes is when they stop fighting; coming to their senses and working out the misunderstanding that placed them where they were.

I remember finally getting my copy of this first ever Marvel/DC cross over. A great slice of history and a great memory.

With crossover match ups and even battles with characters facing off against others in their own universe theres 3 different types that decide. 1. The writers-Do whatever they feel regardless of logic. 2. The fanboys-blind loyalty to who they like more. 3. The logical objective debaters- who come to a realistic outcome based off of feats and powers.

The two greatest Superheroes from the two greatest comic book companies. Edit: I like that they put together Superman and Spider-Man first because it would be so obvious to team Superman up with say the Hulk, Captain America, or Thor. Clark and Peter are more alike than the other ones and here are some examples. They both put on a face to hide their identities. They both work at news paper companies. They're both relatable. They both rock that classic primary color scheme. They both have wholesome parental figures that made them the people they are today. They both surpass the limits of what we thought they were capable of. and to close this off because I don't want to ramble on anymore they're both the faces of their franchises and they are the greatest heroes of all Superman fights for truth justice and freedom, and Spider-Man with his great power he uses it for great responsibility.

What I like about this is that neither Spiderman nor Superman are actually in the wrong, it was really just a misunderstanding

The actual comic was better lol I don't think the "new" version was any better. If I'm being honest it didn't add anything because Superman is invincible and Spiderman couldn't hurt him so it's believable that while he's shaking off how much it hurt to punch superman he would let superman explain himself.

I got this comic expecting it to be as dumb as all the other 'versus' comics. I didnt expect it to be beautifully drawn and super fun. Without doubt, one of the best company crossovers ive ever read.

Can't Superman casually punch apart mountains...how does Spiderman stand a chance without kryptonite. His spider sense couldn't be faster than super man, his strength is outmatched by Superman, his webs wouldn't be able to stop him.

How would Spiderman even see Superman

Itd be nice to have a Superman x Spiderman comic where Superman inspires Spiderman to jeep going cos these two are night and day in terms of emotions.

Supes outclasses Spidey in almost every way except for equilibrium, agility, acrobatics, gymnastics, spider senses, sticking powers, brains, and martial artistry. But in terms of strength, durability, healing factor, speed, reflexes, flying, stamina, endurance, experience, expanded lifespan, freeze breath, heat vision, x ray vision, microscopic vision, being able to breath outside in almost any place even outside of Earth, and more advantages he has over Spidey in great spades and cards more then Spidey has over him yeah.

Both of them will still be my favorite superheroes!

im glad they didnt do what they always do with superman vs batman and have spiderman win with gadgets ..superman could easily superspeed behind batman and crush his head done....yet folks still think batman can beat superman..only if superman holds back. no holding back there is not many that can truely hang with superman
