That would of been awesome. Combat in this game is far more varied and deeper than Ps4. Shame both games are terribly easy though. I also pefer the web swinging in general from WoS. Also far more varied. God, if they could only combine the combat from here and narrative caliber from Spider-Man ps4. Perfect Spider-Man game.

The combat in this was like Spider-Man on steroids. He fights like a Dragon Ball Z character in this, and it’s awesome. Definitely the funnest combat in any Spider-Man game
God, I love WoS’ gameplay. One of the many details I love is how Pete’s attacks are slowed down, so in actuality is going insanely fast while fighting. Which is supports the lesser known detail about just how fast Spider-People are.

Spider Man 2 fans roasted it a little. Developers have always cared but their executive bosses (and fans) make their lives hell at times.
Spiderman Web of Shadows has a fast and dynamic combat system, where every single punch, kick and contact with an enemy possesses a substantial amount of weight and fluid kinetic energy behind it, which is only complimented and reinforced by the intense, raw sound effects of each and every attack as they cause the camera to shake and cause the opponent’s body to violently ricochet as they are viscously pummelled and sent flying down the street towards the next junction. This not only helps to make the player feel more powerful and immersed in the gameplay as a superhero, but also provides a strong level of satisfaction and ecstasy as all of these visual and sensory cue’s perfectly harmonise and culminate together triggering a deep rooted neurological sweet spot that is beyond comprehension. I think Spiderman PS4’S amazing graphics, gadget wheel and web swinging mechanics mixed with Web of Shadows heavy combat system would help to make the best Spiderman game to date.

Wish PS4 spiderman added some of that areal and wall-crawling combat that shit would be great. Also if in the next game we have the black suit, they should make it exactly like in this game, quick-swap and making the symbiote form strong af.
Normal suit Spidey in this game is already stronger than the entire Street Fighter/King of Fighters universe lmao. Symbiote Spider-Man triplifies this. I l doubt they’ll make him as powerful as in this game or the game would break a lot.
For the story's sake, especially for the balck suit arc, it should not happen when it comes to having the ability to quick swap between the Red and Blues and the Black Suit. If Peter truly becomes something incredibly dark, brutal, and vengeful when he wears the suit... when he becomes The Black Spider-Man. Do you really think it'll be appropriate for peter to wear the Red and Blues when he starts abandoning the values on what that version represents? The answer is no. Even though it would be cool in a gameplay aspect for the impact of gameplay... it'll clash against the storylines purpose. Spider-Man 2 will not be a Web of Shadows 2.0 for its storyline... but i do believe their gameplay for traversal and ESPECIALLY for combat will lead towards a higher and more depth driven level than ever before. The foundation they made in 2018? Well, it'll definitely be at its fullest potential in Spider-Man 2! That a damn bet.
bro watching this then spiderman ps4 is just not even fair like this is 100x times better besides graphics which aren’t even that bad like the combat is top tier, web slinging looks so fluid and fun and the wall mechanics / combat stuff is just amazing
There's just more layers added to its system... what insomniac did was that they placed a foundation in 2018, and that foundation was pretty good. Which insomniac wanted to hear. Now that sucka's love their foundation for combat, they're definitely going to keep what they made and add more layers, complexity, and depth in Spider-Man 2! And it can be at the same amount or even higher than Web of Shadows' system.
You only say that becuase web of shadows has more layers and depth for it's combat and traversal system... but when insomniac does the same thing in Spider-Man 2, you'll definitely be singing a different tune by then.

web of shadows crushes insomniac spiderman in every way except web swinging (which is a close call). web of shadows has better and more diverse combat, characters, world, bosses, and yes even story. i sincerely hope web of shadows gets remastered so it gains the fame it deserves
@@amazingpradeep1235Insomniac isn't perfection... its very far from it... the story goes no lengths into taking in the consideration for the creative liberties of a Spiderman story... so what i mean is that they they had potential but how they executed was very basic and underwhelming... so many ppl praise Insomniacs Spiderman 1s story especially Peter himself even though its just a simple surface level rehash of previous spiderman stories like the Sam Raimi movies where they took the basis but expanded on it... the 1st Insomniac SM game doesn't do that at all
WOS will always be my favorite interpretation idly the dark theme and most of all the suit and peters build designs he looks so intimidating and menacing the combat was was sun too like dawg if your a Spider-Man fan you know WOS. Also like come on wolverine Luke cage black cat moon knight black widow electro venommmm I can go on all day about how much I love this game I couldn’t imagine a remastered
Insomniacs Spider-Man is great and all but I wish we had a lot of the mechanics that are in this game such as being able to fight on the side of walls, like that makes u feel like Spider-Man
Dude the wall fighting in this game was so sick! Sucks insomniacs spiderman 2 doesn't have that, it would've been perfect for the symbiote enemies you fight.

Insomniac please take some notes. Web Of shadows a 10 year old game beats your "modern game" in combat and boss battles. Don't get me wrong I love Spiderman ps4 but the combat ittt gets old and repetitive fast , the game is not perfect like everyone is claiming ! No it has major issues with boss battles and combat.
Nah I think the combat was really good in Spider-Man ps4. But you’re right in one sense, I wish there was some web of shadows feel to it with the aerial combat. Like when you press triangle I wish you would jump off the enemy like in here. But web of shadows did have repetitive combat too. But I will say boss battles in Spider-Man ps4 were a little boring at times. I really liked the rhino and scorpion fight.
You also gotta understand that both games take on a completely different style which is why spiderman PS4's combat works for that game. Honestly both give you options on how you want to play. I do agree though but I feel like web of shadows is just a one of a kind game that just cant be replicated anymore
@@TheAnimatedGamer it has nothing to do with style. The combat got booring after 3 hours of gameplay, hard to spin it otherwise. All boss battles were Terrible , you Basically had to do 3 things : dodge, Wed strike and mash square. Sometimes there's step 4 which is perform the same finisher over and over again until the boss is down. Spider-man deserve more intense boss fights. It was uninspiring and unforgivable, Spider-man 2 had better variation in combat and appealing boss battles. And it had the same style of Spider-man Ps4. So no Insomniac ne eed to improve in the sequel instead of listening to fans who claims this is the best Spider-man game. Its not not even close. Its a good start that's what it is. And this is coming from a guy who bought the DLC and platinumed the game.

I remember spending hours only destroying the environment amazed with the broken structures and enjoying the combat, being horrorized with the dramatic situation of the city.
This was the most innovative spider man game ever. PS4 spider man is great, don't get me wrong, but in terms of combat ... it's just an Arkham knock off. It doesn't let you to fight on the scale of Spider man. You're very grounded. When in fact, ground is the weakest point for spidey - he's strength is agility and movement. Not standing on the street and beating bad guys one by one. Surprise, stealth, speed and scale to fly off 10 stories and come down in a matter of seconds - that's the strength spidey has over his enemies in regular encounters
Yeah this is the best spidey game. In spiderman ps4 it hurts you're eyes to see spiderman going into swing-motion everytime before the web even attaches. Theres no "SNAP" feeling when spidey's weight pulls on the web, and then flinges him up in the air like here in web of shadows. In spiderman ps4 its just shoot web, spiderman starts floating, web attaches 2 seconds later, then he slowly goes up and thats it. IM A HUGE SPIDEY FAN, but i can say the swinging is trash in Spiderman Ps4 and Miles Morales. Because 17 years later they give us nothing better than spiderman 2 or web of shadows. Also the combat system Spiderman Ps4-- ! barley any web attacks, instead spider-drone, suspension matrix, trip mine, and web bomb. The punching feels so light that i think im playing as kick ass from kick ass.

Probably because they were going for a more cinematic type of swinging, so they focused more on the camera and position of the player. But yeah I agree, there's a lot of room for improvement
Love this game but I always felt it was too dark and the city wasvery empty from the beginning which is something spiderman ps4 excels in and its also why i felt it was way more enjoyable than shadow of webs
Different hardware by over 10 years. Plus where this game outright kills ps4 spidy is in gameplay. Seriously you gonna play a game because the npcs seem more real or a game that lets you have fun? I love ps4 spidy. But gameplay wise the thing that matters in a VIDEO GAME is what draws people in.

@@pafoneto1275 webbing not sticking to buildings is a legitimate criticism, since, you know, it's fucking Spider-Man. In Miles Morales and PS4, they didn't stick to buildings by a meter at most, in WoS, you could make out when they didn't stick to buildings without even turning your camera. Web of shadows is my favorite spider man game, shame that the ps4 version copied "the amazing spider man" gameplay, they could do something new or better but no they don't care, guess why? Cuz no one care about a spider man game and the fans didn't even saw the difference, that's why the developers didn't care about doing something new or better. well if you ask me about the spider man ps4 version, I say its a new "the amazing spider man game" but with high budget.
It is also my favorite game is better than most spider games, and it is unfortunate what they did with "The Amazing Spiderman", for me it was one of the worst but well, hopefully with the one that will come out soon improve all the failures that had the previous or well that's what they promise, just wait.

I’m playing on PS3 and can’t past the first mission where it says to press R2 to swing. It won’t let me. I press the R2 trigger repeatedly and it just won’t let me swing. How can I fix this issue? Tryna have my son play and he can’t cuz pressing R2 does nothing.
