Nathan Hale and Benedict Arnold may be the most famous spies of the American Revolution, but they were hardly alone. George Washington’s use of spy networks and wider intelligence efforts were critical to the fight for independence. In Spies, Patriots, and Traitors, former CIA officer Kenneth Daigler closely examines American intelligence activities during the era of the Revolutionary War from 1765 to 1783. Daigler will explain how America’s founders learned and practiced their intelligence role, providing insight from an intelligence professional’s perspective and revealing how many of the principles of the era’s intelligence practice are still relevant today. After the talk, see the Museum’s famous George Washington spy letter.
This event took place July 15, 2014.

How sad that there are so few views after almost 4 years. This subject proves to be more and more interesting to me, with each little tidbit that I'm able to add to my accumulating knowledge. Having lived most of my life in the NY Metro area makes it even more fascinating due to familiarity with the areas in question. Thanks the posting!

I feel the same way. As an American. Learning about men such as John Andrei, Gen. Clinton and Gen. Cornwallis. We were brothers united by government then, now we are brothers united by way of history. I always ask myself would I be a “Tory or a Revolutionary”, as I did not live then I cannot truly say. History will always be there, as certain as the future is uncertain.

You know if I was better at CGI I could actually paste my left hand over that guy's left hand with a messed up Pinky and it would look exactly the same.
