Saw the first movie, and saw the Netflix series. very impressed with Spike Lee's continued style which he shows in most of his movies. The rhythm and pacing of the dialogue unique to his style. Loved the different photos taken of the various New Yorkers during the Intro, very impressive and classy. Also loved how he incorporated the album covers of the musicians that were featured during the episodes, especially my Love, Prince. Oh yeah the history shown in the graveyard scene with all the great musicians that paved the way. Much Love Spike!!!!

Goodness mercy, this show was addictive!

This was a fantastic and nuanced take on complex gender and sexual issues. It was unashamed of black female sexuality and approached it from a number of perspectives. It helped me make sense of my experience with daily sexual harassment in the Bronx when I lived there. It's rare that I can relate so deeply to every (main) female character in a piece of art, and I could do that here. Plan to watch lots of Spike Lee in the future

I know- I'm late - because I just binged both seasons of the TV version of She's Gotta Have It and LOVE LOVE LOVED it. Love Spike Lee! Important and timely discussions, beautifully wrought on every level from script to acting to image to sound to music...THEN I come to this CBS Morning show and the guy sounds like he has NO IDEA what the piece is about. Diverting the subject to "Cool office"? Yikes, man. Wake up!
