so David Duke is worried about how he's going to be portrayed in the movie? how else do you portray a person consumed by evil and hate? blatantly, bluntly without hyperbole.
RIXRADvidz I don't know how we're going to deal with you and your evident amount of ignorance. Have you actually listened to David Duke or ever heard him talk?
chizplayaz jordan peele the producer has a racist policy against white people, so paying money to see anything by him and spike lee is supporting racism. the movie itself is a remake and its only been made to capitalize on stupid folks that dont know any better
chizplayaz you are exactly the kind of stupid person I'm talking about. The Black Klansman was made in 1966 and it has 6.3/10 on imdb. it was dogshit 52 years ago and its dogshit today
PrajnaVieira I just saw the movie today and I am still processing it. It's such a complex layered story. I know it's the best movie I have seen this year so far.
I can't wait to see this movie. I was a kid in the 60s, teen/ adult in the 70s, and I remember how racist everything was. (Including my parents) The demonstration last summer was horrifying, but as a white woman, I know there is still a long ways to go, but it hasn't touched me directly. I need to see the tale as told from a black perspective to help me understand more. I have a friend in the Carolinas that as recently as the early 2000s had burning crosses on her lawn, and death threats. We whites need to do more to support our black and brown neighbors. Other than say, OMG I am so sorry that happened to you. Is there anything I can do to help? We need to make it stop happening in the first place. It needs to be completely unacceptable in our culture
Andy Mars I wouldn’t do that far ... but it was good ... 7 out of 10 ... please go see it people ..... very good history lesson and the amazing ending that shows you that the past is not the past .....
@@SilenceaboutthetruthisamuteDev 😂😂😂😂😂😂, Yeah, white people made movies about RACISM‘s where white people are the heroes, but in real life white people are not the heroes of racism .. That’s why it’s been around for over 600 years because they’re not the hero of stopping RACISM. You’re the heroes of continuing racism, and still being racist and lying about it.
This movie is well done. A must see if you like history. The way that Spike Lee incorporates the past with the present is so on the mark. Great performances by all!
This is a must-see movie! If we want to heal racism we must go back to its origin in history. To the foundation of its archetype and recognize its existence in the present time. This movie delivers a powerful motivation to "dismantle" the archetype of racism. It forces each of us to question what we stand for!
amazing how stupid you sound, in order to heal racism we need to keep constantly talking about it and keep race baiting and guilt tripping whites and teaching them to hate themselves. Did whites invent racism???????? Did they really??? Answer that question HONESTLY and provide evidence!!
Jose Santiago A congressman in Texas that is running up against Ted Cruz in this upcoming race for Senate. And unlike his Republican colleagues he rejects any corporate funding and rejects super pacs.
Saw the film. It was fantastic! It took me a while to rid myself of the colorful vocabulary, can't exactly bring that tongue in to work the next day. I fell in love from the first scene. Shheeeeeeiiiit. Spike Lee, you never disappoint :)
D.j. Hylanda Said same thing LOL seriously, nothing wrong with that. If you look at any of Penny Marshalls movies. Somebody from "Laverne & Shirley" is in most of her movies. It's called showing love and looking out.
So I guess we're going to ignore Gayle King cutting the white lady off when she was trying to get a compliment out of her and never once look at the lady when she cut her off.
Your movies taught me a lot about racism and how to overcome it individually. I'm 48 years old now and me and my black friends still struggle with the the tension of racism.
Lance Morrison Don't let other people's fear and ignorance bring you down. Keep on seeing people as human first, and you'll continue to live a better life! May God always watch over you 😇😇😇
I would love to meet this guy and just listen to his stories of what went on during his time with the police as the first black officer in Colorado Springs
Movie is crazy, I loved it. It most certainly deserved that Oscar. Plus, how it ended was just stunning, you end the movie with an eye opening perspective no matter what race you are.
I predict an Oscar/ Sag/ Golden Globe & BET AWARD for Mr Spike Lee. Awards for best actor lead & co actor. I see the man from Star Wars up in here. Spike Lee is back!!!
"Placing vocation training programs inside minority communities solves a number of issues that plagues communities of color today. Issues like volence crime, drugs, unemployment, housing, fatherhood. These things are systematic of the lack of education, direction, employment opportunities, and lack of interest in low paying jobs. Things like auto mechanics, electrical training, plumbing, welding, those are skills that are very much still in demand and can be found needed in any town. These skills pay well enough to allow men to afford housing. Afford to provide for themself aswell as provide for a family if they choose to have one. Its like creating a new middle class."
It's a good humorous and suspenseful movie. I like the ending as well. I didn't care for the romance with the Student President but they tried. Kylo Ren was excellent in it as well. I'm glad Spike let someone else write it. Lot's of twists and turns. Not as good as Get Out but just as good as black panther.
The Black lady kept interrupting the white lady. I didn't like it. As a Black person (from Southern Cameroon but living in Cape Town,South Africa),I really wanted to hear her questions.
, thank you sparkly for another great movie you are the only one managed to come out with quality work true to the Core I represent what is going on from the past to the present to the Future this is a member movie The Blackkklansman and Oscar goes to remember to get that speech together all the best Spike Lee to the next movie
spike may be a controversial filmmaker but ive always respected his films i watched this last night and thought it was amazing his best film is either Malcolm X or Do The Right Thing masterpieces
Spike Lee is a damn genius.. he doesn't need some white dominated Hollywood board or whatever to 'do the right thing' by giving him some award... a living legend!!!
That was great thanks guys! Separately Gayle King the young lady was trying to say something before you rudely interrupted her and then you never got back to her to let her finish what she wanted to say! So I just wanted to let you know that that was incredibly rude and you should be aware of your surroundings! Good day😉
I saw that too and noticed, but I think she wanted Ron to show them his KKKard before they went off to commercial that's why. But yeah, that came off rude Gayle lol.
Thank you Mr. Lee.... Gotta chance to see Face in the crowd. Sooo remember, but didn't quite understand as a young person...Spot on, you were!!! Will be seeing BKKK. Don't forget the B Mac movie...its time!! comedian Nick Lewis as Bmac or Slink....lol.. Thanks for your time. Last thing, Those who "can" won't...Those who "would" can't !!! 1900's "Phillippines pacific..David
