I understand why Robin tried to kill Spike but honestly I first thought Robin was creepy knowing about slayers and vampires and hot to fight them then I started to like him and then he tries to kill Spike making me really not like him but I totally understand why Robin did what he did.
I like spike and angel but we can't forget they both are mass murders I can understand woods anger if i would in a similar situation I would probably done same thing myself.
As hard as it is to admit, I have to take Spike's side in this. Vampire Slayers don't get retirement, they don't get honorably discharged when the war is over because the war they fight is never over. They fight until they die and are replaced by another who does the same. Nikki's fate was tragic, but if it wasn't Spike, it would have been some other vampire/demon/Eldritch horror. "That's the way the game is played."
@@kcwade2616I don’t think the Watchers had that kind of power. Keep in mind that a new slayer arose due to a technicality unforeseen by the Watchers Council: Buffy dying temporarily and Xander saving her. A method of calling a new Watcher without Nikki dying would be beyond their powers, otherwise they would have pursued it a long time ago. Nikki could have chosen to quit being a Slayer and be a full time mother, as per Spike’s suggestion … but I can’t help but wonder if this would cause some rogue Watchers to assassinate her, so the Watchers can have purpose again.
@@kcwade2616 I fealt bad for Robin, but at the end of the day, it was up to his mother to have pritoritized being one to him over her *duty* as a slayer. Spike, as evil and demonic as he was, was still was what he was. He couldn't help his nature as a Vampire anymore than a savage lion can help that it's a lion. Spike showed some compassion in sparing Robin's life, even though Robin attempted to stake him to dust.
@@ronki23 the implant began to break down. He had the choice of fixing it or remove it. Buffy had them take it out. Giles put this thing in his eye or nose, can't remember. It was to help him resolve whatever issue he had. When he turned his mother a demon took her over and she said nasty bits to him as he called it.. When he realized his mother loved him the trigger no longer worked.
He realised what the trigger was and why, and let go of the feelings towards his mom. He basically worked on him self and faced his feelings so the could no longer controll him
Strong / older vampires don't get affected by the crucifix unless they are directly touching them. At one point Wood shoves Spike's face into the crucifix wall and you can see Spike's face smoking slightly. But as long as he isn't in direct contact it doesn't hurt him. And also the trigger gets overcome because Spike has a bunch of flashbacks (the person that uploaded this video cut out a lot of clips), and he eventually deals with his trauma and realised that the thing that was bothering him in the past was actually not true
Yeah - I get why a vampire would want to kill a Slayer. If there is a specific individual that is always going to be hunting / killing you just based on your race / species, I don't see anything wrong with challenging them to 1v1 mortal combats. Nikki definitely wanted to kill Spike as well. It was a fair fight, no trickery involved and it was a 1v1
Dont forget Robin wood is literally willing to lessen the chance of them winning to kill Spike. Imagine if Buffy were to have to fight the first evil having just lost him? She may not have loved Spike like Angel, but she did love him.
