Fun fact: 16 total defensive touches brought back to the net! More stats (spoilers) below Hilltop: Serve % - 100% Aces - 0 Breaks - 7 Hitting % - 67% Errors - 1 Kingdom Come: Serve % - 89% Aces - 0 Breaks - 4 Hitting % - 69% Errors - 3

Maybe it’s just bc they are adjusting to a new net, but that looked like worse content/roundnet compared to the pro or PS nets, despite more touches.

The game play is just a lot slower, which is the goal. I think also the players are just getting use to the net. watching this game you can def see the players grow into it. It’s interesting how many drop serves/put on were used. I wonder if drop have a higher ace percentage on this net then just normal swing.

"worse content/roundnet"... the only difference statistically in this game was more touches and less aces. I am not sure how that is worse. Some of that may be due to adjusting to a new net, but It would be awesome if this new equipment actually increased rallies. Can't know for sure but it looks promising

@@TodRoot statistics have absolutely nothing to do with enjoyability with watching or playing roundnet.

@@Carlosediaz543 for beginners sure, but slowing down game play at the top level being the “goal” seems silly. These guys are athletes let them play. And for drop serves, it is probably bc landing any other serve is much harder so they were just doing put ons. Another not very fun part of the game. Easy serve receives, easy sets. Hitting is harder but everything else is so boring and all within a 4 foot radius.

definitely need to set higher for same amount of time to hit bc net is higher

Is it just me or is defence kinda bad in this match? Shouldnt be affected by set as much tho

Not sure but feels like the hight of the net changes things a bit in terms of angles of the shots you expect and how high the ball is gonna go after bouncing. Not super surprising if defensive intuitions/reflexes are a bit off at the beginning.
