I wouldn’t say 50/50 more like 75% or more manly bc you never know what could happen but ik why you say that bc he has the spikes on one side of the road and so basically its a 50/50 but that thing has a string/chain attached to it and when like the car/truck moves of out the spike zone the police would pull on the rope of the spikes hopefully getting the car/trucks tires.
This is the equivalent of a watching a movie with your girlfriend and the first person, other than the protagonist, speaks and she asks “Who is that?” “What are they doing?” “What’s happening?”
House: is on fire Fire department: arrives Her: *gasp* what is the fire department doing here? What are those long floppy water snakes? What is going on?
@@sagittarius420cheefie it’s the point of their videos they are mainly for children and they make the build ups last longer so they can make additional parts of the video for more views which equals more $$$
Iwas waiting for it to drive around the spikes or for a police car to drive through. In the end there was no reason for this video to take up space on google servers or my time.
That was Rick Sanchez who said that, Peter might have also but I think there’s a good chance you mixed them up because of the similarities in the shows.
@@bubble_boy0963 no it was Peter and Lois watching a movie and she was asking all these questions and Peter was like idk I'm working with the same information you have and then he says the button is green so it probably makes something go
Oh wooow someone raised in a society that makes it unnecessary to learn survival skills doesnt know survival skills. What next, the next generations gonna grow up with pencil and paper and not know how to carve in stone tablets? Grow up, its not like it matters
Spikes don't send the vehicle out of control(usually). They are designed to slowly deflate the tires of the suspect vehicle. Are there some edge cases where this isn't true, and the tire ruptures instead of steadily deflating? Yes, there always will be. However, these cases are rare. Usually, a vehicle will go out of control due to the suspect attempting to avoid the strip, however. Not the spikes.
Exactly what I was thinking… if they couldn’t get past then they should remove themselves from the car! All those cars are in danger and the POLICE IS PARTLY TO BLAME.
In Zimbabwe at some point like 2 years ago, they banned unregistered taxi services and minu buses. But the bus service that they provided instead wasn't sufficient to meet the transport needs of people so people started going back to unregistered taxis and minibuses. The cops in town started pulling out these puppies on them in town, while passengers were in. It was crazy. The bus people started putting burglar bars on the windows cause the police also like smashing windows with their police batons. It was crazy, they spiked a Toyota vitz i was taking to town, and they got the left front wheel, the driver kept going till he got to a autoshop like 3 km from when we got spiked, and he was still speeding in case the cops were behind
There was a RV chase throughout the county I live in a few years ago. I was a paramedic at the time and repeatedly staging in various areas close to the chase incase someone crashed. The sheriffs deputies took out 2 of their own cars with their spike strips, and got the RV but it kept running at 25-30 mph for a good 30 minutes 😂 one of the towns police chiefs T boned it as soon as they came into his town to stop it. The chase took over an hour because the SO was just driving behind it waiting for it to stop I guess.
Man, it's like none of you have ever had a conversation before. These are phatic interjections. They're a common part of interacting with other people in most cultures
Some people just say things out loud if they’re in disbelief or whatever, this could be to process what’s happening. It’s funny af she did it in the beginning too😂”brake brake brake” I did the same thing to my mom when I was growing up haha
Y’all. I see those spikes, I’m turning off the road. A speeding car spinning out with no control? No thank you. Don’t pull out your phone! Run! Edit: I meant run as in get out of the car and onto the grass. I want more than a door between me and the spiked car IF the driver looses control. I’ve seen way too many videos where drivers are speeding and hit those spikes only to veer off sharply. Personally, I don’t want to be a sitting duck.
@@jarvisamessuyo8201 Nope, they don't instant blow the rubber off the tires and leave you with the metal things, they slowly let out the air inside a fair distance, I urge you to look up videos of these spikes getting used, welcome to the internet there's tons of them
A good tip for people that are near a situation like this.. It is advised that you leave because people start to crowd and film these cops which makes them stand out more And you also put yourself in danger if the car goes out of control and you are potentially in the way.
This was very poor tactical deployment. Officers SA was blind to the exposer he put more people at risk. Backup on the road each direction but worse on the opposite lane AFTER the strip? Loss of control into basically parked traffic? Brilliant! I get it stop thr perp but at who else's life? You protect and serve first... you apprehend and solve cases second.... yes, it may be more work and time, but do it right. " Officers are NOT the priority, the public is". Quote from my police chief uncle.
@@mohamedbaradji7504 Yeah right, you think police is just gonna let traffic flow in one lane while they're setting up spikes on the other? Way too dangerous to the one handling thew spikes, he's standing in the middle of the road ffs. And they clearly signalled for him to pull over to the side once he was stopped.
That's what I was thinking.. Like yeah sure high speed chase is dangerous either way but this is such a crowded point why would they make the ppl stop right next to it too
Sorry to ask. But why were they killed? I'm not familiar with this spiky thing. Never seen one nor heard about it before so I'm curious. If you don't mind answering
Theyre designed to pop car tires to force someone to stop thats fleeing from police. As far as how police have died deploying them im not sure @@katherine54122
@AxLyfe It doesn't instantly pop the tires. The spikes are hollowed out, which, when hit, deflates the tire slowly. However people have and do lose control at higher speeds
