In my opinion, it's better to take the mindset of "im going to find the best way to not lose a point" other than "im going to do a massive delay and get clout for it" Practicing takes time even if it makes you more skilled gradually. But to answer your question, I personally suggest not pre aiming in any situation as no matter what, if you get blocked or not blocked while pre aiming, you're never going to score with pre aims if the other team is capable of knowing how to counter pre aims. I suggest flicking or making unreadable movements around to make it harder to read your quick/delay. If you get blocked even if you don't pre aim, it pretty much depends on your backrow now. For me, as a known all rounder around the CVL community, the libero shouldn't be the only one covering for you, I tend to see a lot of 4.2 teams steal their teammates sets and abandoning their position as backrow, in cvl, my team shifts around to all possible blocks near the spiker side area, so even if the spiker flicks and gets blocked, there's a defense specialist there to recover the ball. Pre aiming does nothing but giving your opponents a free ball, an easy one to receive with. If you pre aim, your liberos play style depends on if they get the ball or not, good liberos will most likely get the ball, but some liberos won't.
