I really wanted to see a real Rob vs. David showdown. The famous Boston Rob, master puzzle-solver, vs. newcomer David, with among the highest IQs the show has ever seen. Too bad the Zaps decided to do such a stupid move.
Wait, is david the 'defense lawyer'? As a lawyer myself I have to say, if that guy is your defense lawyer, just shoot yourself now plus his IQ is fairly close to zero. The whole strategy is foolish and will leave a massive vacuum in their tribe. A lawyers first job is to see at least 5-10 moves ahead and ANY possible problems that may peak on the horizon. That is what you pay us for. That is how we protect you. We see the devil coming before he sees you. Duh! Russell may be a bitter pill to swallow but he is needed at this stage in the game.
If someone ends up going fair in the game, or plays it in a memorable way, they put the spotlight more on them so you get more invested in them. Rob checks off both boxes
Throwing a challenge is always dishonorable. In every season that it happens. But this one was particularly egregious because it booted someone who, whether you liked him or not, deserved to be in the game longer.
D E I’m pretty sure that’s a scientifically proven fact. I know because my uncle fell in a few years ago and hasn’t come up yet, he’s down there enjoying himself with his gills
They not only threw a challenge to get Russell out, but also their chance to even make to to the finals, Russell would have easily brought all of them to the final
David:Hopefully the end result is worth it. Me:Uh hu.That's why you lost the other challenges and screwed yourselves over at the merge I get that everyone would use the opportunity they have to vote out Russell but still, throwing a challenge can be bad, especially if you have more numbers than the other tribe and your tribe's been winning all the challenges. Also, they didn't throw just immunity but also a reward that could have helped them through out the game.In Samoa,Russell's tribe did lose challenges but not on purpose and they survived through to the end, except Jaison but they made it through the merge even tho the numbers were 8 to 4.The Zapatera Tribe,by throwing the challenge, was like throwing all the rest of the challenges and the game it self, just to vote out one player that's a threat to them, they screwed themselves over cause of that little mistake,so In the merge, they all left ! Sorry if it's long written,my bad! (Edit:I'm still pissed that Phillip made it to final 3,random but just saying.)
First challenge. Russell: And know Rob knows, he's playing with a bunch of bitches. This challenge. Russell: I'm playing with a bunch of bitches. And Julie isn't going to miss the bucket. She's a firefighter for god's sake.
Not even Jeff seeing they wanted to throw and then adding in tons of rewards could make them want to keep Russell. I can't tell what was dumber; Russell's tribe throwing to remove a shield and going down in numbers, or Rob's listening blindly until the end.
They're obviously subpar players their not thinking that far I would have saved Russell for the merge boot especially cuz Rob was kind of his rival for the season
Fun fact: this is almost the exact same challenge they had in episode 5 of Survivor Nicaragua, but you use the ball to smash tiles. This is currently the weirdest challenge Jeff set up so far
This challenge always gave me major safety vibes; imagine if the contraption malfuctioned as they were underwater or the spinner keeps them under too long which basically happened here briefly. I like dangerous comps but the human error that could freaking drown someone is a bit much for even someone like me who likes risky challenges.
When the 1st ball felt down and the rads where stopped,i was scared that someone would get stuck underwather when the other tribe members wherent noticing
Yet Russel was their shield he was the only one to beat Rob and they got rid of a big member you honestly have to think but you Russel haters never think anyway lol
Cassie Doodles no, you can quite easily place the wheel in such a way that no one is underwater, this construction is likely to have more than one floor on which you can de-assemble yourself from the wheel.
So the purple team wanted to throw the challenge and eliminate one of their tribe mates.....so they DELIBERATELY failed the challenge and gave the other tribe the comfort reward....which means they will be better protected, better rested and not achy and cold sleeping on the ground with nothing but a bamboo roof to keep you from the elements....so this might possibly give the orange team an edge over the purple team in challenges....meaning MORE losses. I don't think they thought this plan through very well. lol
Do u think a good strategy would be to stop the at the top so they can spit more water into the funnel? But maybe the bottom two other people might drown.
As much as I think throwing a challenge is a bad idea, Zapatera made the right decision. Allowing Russell to remain in the game is extremely dangerous because Russell is completely lazy and destructive at camp, narcissistic, would have inflicted tremendous damage to Zapatera, and jeopardized the chances of the Zapatera Six.
what scared me is once the ball was released the people would stop spinning the wheel and what if they stopped while someone was under, they would drown
If the people at the top get tired and stop the people at the bottom drown because they get permanently stuck underwater,I hope survivor thought about that
The next challenge should be someone has to drink all that spit water. Like they do with the eating challenges where they have to eat bugs and worms. Ugh. I would definitely lose that one.
Throwing a challenge is just never a good idea. It's gonna backfire nine times out of 10. It's the way losers play. You got someone you want to get out? Fine. Get them out when you lose. There's no rush.
This is so damn dangerous. What if someone couldn’t choked on water and couldn’t breathe and then they had to go back around. Especially since the guys had to push them around. The slower they get the longer under water they are.
This was sorta stupid because if u had the numbers to vote Russell out that means you would have them later on your team so there was probably 2 to 3 challenges before the merge and im guessing yall arent going to win all 2 or 3 full challenges before the merge and if that was me I would have saved putting out russell till later in the game because that sorta secures ur spot for at least 1 tribal council because u know ur whole tribe is willing to vote him out which means that they will be focused on getting him out and theres no way u would get voted as long as Russell doesnt have an immunity idol but he had a lot of those so i don't know
