This was such a great show , it was a bit before my time but my wife and enjoyed watching the series on the Disney channel and RU-vid so much. This was a pleasant time for kids and it shows 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
'Spin and Marty' was my favorite serial on the Mickey Mouse Club ! What's NOT to like for our generation ? Living on a ranch for the summer, riding your 'own' horse ? It was just about every kid's dream back in the day ! :)
Voice of Reason it’s mine too. Although I experienced Spin & Marty through reruns on the Disney Channel. I wished I was around back in the 50s to see it when it first came out
I got to meet Tim and David at an event in Studio City in 2004, I think. They were so nice and spent a lot of time talking to us. I adored the Spin and Marty show and loved meeting them and some of the Mouseketeers. Wonderful memories!
Having been born in 1969 Spin & Marty was a syndicated show but it came one regularly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in Omaha,NE In the 1970's when I was a kid and I loved it! It's nice to see these guys now ol timers. It's funny how time moves you right along!
Thank you for posting this! Spin and Marty is SUCH a great part of my childhood (had a big crush on Spin... ). Both actors seem like such great guys. And they really were excellent in those roles.
I was so shocked to learn of the death of Tim Considine. You know you never think of some of the actors from the past until you find out that they passed away and then it's shocking to know that the world will be without them, taking for granted that they will always be there. Anyway what I really wanted to add to that was I had such a crush on Tim Considine you have no idea. I just loved him and I'm glad he had a good life.
I know of what you speak. When I was in high school as a senior I met a junior coed who I found beautiful and engaging. Times being what they were our short lived youthful romance was not to blossom. 'Sides we came from the different parts of the town and me being, literally, the wrong side of the tracks we went our separate ways. Her to UCLA, me to Vietnam as a young Marine. I later graduated from a state university with a B.A. and later a Masters Degree. I found out later that she married a fellow collegiate student and they celebrated over 50 years of marriage before she passed on. Way too young. Like you I was joyed to hear she enjoyed a great marriage and a life of accomplishment along with a beautiful family.
Walt Disney said that even at the height of the Davy Crockett insanity, Spin & Marty got far more mail. MILLIONS of boys wanted to spend the summer at the Triple R.
