🌧 Just so you know, its not that Juneau doesn't want the love. Certain cats have an over-sensitivity "pain" response with too much petting. I have one kitty that is that way, only constant head pets are allowed, very few back pets.
This might sound mean but I love seeing failed tbrs, it makes videos more relatable for me 😂 CONGRATULATIONS ON 4 YEARS QUEEN 🥳 I love the phoning a friend chaotic vibes 😂👏🏻
I found Way of Kings intimidating as well and it set on my shelf for 2 years. I did a TBR jar which forced me to pick it up. I fucking DEVOURED that book and I was sad I waited so long. It’s so easy to read and the pages fly by. Great characters and interesting world.
I am also reading the way of the kings this month! Both my parents are reading the series and absolutely love it! My dad says it’s the best book series he’s read in a long time!
@@juliacash8135 Enjoy! I read it back in January and it was my first 5 star of the year. I read book 2 earlier this month and enjoyed it even more. Now I’m committed to reading the rest of the cosmere before Stormlight 5 comes out in December.
I loved this video, it seems like such a fun way to get re-excited about books on your shelves 🌧️ I definitely need way too much control to do this… but maybe I’ll try it one month 😂
I'm about 7 mins into this video and I have to stop to comment. You describing the challenge game where you see if you can pet Juneau without her biting you is so funny to me! 😂 It's so creative and I love it!
I recently found your channel and have been binging your videos. You CRACK ME UP! Plus, I made a drinking game out of whenever you say "what a time to be alive". 🤣😂🤣 I LOVE IT! It should be your catch phrase!
Try the audio book for Way of Kings. I had it slowed down for learning the characters and basic world, then you can speed it up, and it helps it just keep moving. Not that it's ever boring, just can be a bit slow and character building at times.
🌧️ 🌧️🌧️ and 🌈 I want to read Northwoods by Daniel Mason too. My kitty tells me “no pets” sometimes too with her teethiez. That’s why we love them more.
So this video got me to bite the bullet and put "The Way of Kings" on my Up Next. I have a strong feeling I'm going to fall in love with the Cosmere and it'll be my first Brandon Sanderson book. Love your TBR for April and wish you a ton of good reading!
It must be a fluffy black cat thing. My Hobo has body image issues. You can pet his head, but if you go any lower to his luscious chubbiness, you will end up with a hook for a hand.
I recommend reading The Spear Cuts Through Water physically as opposed to audiobook - the book switches between multiple points of view and it might be harder to follow on audio. It’s long, but such an amazing story with a slow burn romance. Truly one of the most interesting/beautifully written books I’ve ever read!!
Okay, so I totally understand why you're reluctant to read TWOK, but OMG, I devoured it in March. It was so good!! Don't be intimidated (I know, easier said than done). I think you just have to read the first three chapters in one go so that you've met all the main characters. It's important.
🌦I'm reading The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store just now and I thought even after the first few pages that it was likely I would DNF it - but I'm nearing half way and still going. My biggest issue is that its from the library and there's a long waiting list for it - they only let you have books for 2 weeks if there's a waiting list. So I'm interested in what you thought and why you DNFd it. I'm enjoying the writing but there's so many people!
