Modifying the Spinlock PXR jammer to auto close, his particular mod was added to our RS800 for the Jib sheet.
Step 1: Take your new Spinlock PXR and unscrew the jammer from its base, the retaining clips of the plastic packaging can be pushed out through the bottom of the base.
Step 2: remove pivot bar using spike or screw driver and a hammer.
Step 3: remove top of PXR to reveal spring
Step 4: remove spring
Step 5: remove spring adjuster
Step 6: replace PXR Too to base
Step 7: reinsert pivot bar, line up holes and tap in with hammer, slow but steady force required.
Step 8: drill 2 4mm holes into base for shockcord attachment
Step 9: attach PXR to base plate, and screw together
Step 10: feed 4 Mm shockcord through hole and feed over the slot left by the spring adjuster. Insert end into other drilled hole in base. Cut shockcord but leave tail to tie off at preferred resistance after testing.
Step 11: attach PXR to boat
