Thanks. Heading out in late Sept, gonna walk Buffalo Bay. Tried to fish the South Platte inlet in June but the water was just too high and fast

Good video, thanks to your great information I can try another area. I have figured out 11 Mile Rest pretty good when it comes to trout, but having a hard time with this lake. I do not fly fish lakes, so i'm trying to figure them out on big lures.

Colorado Fisher leach patterns will produce a fair share of hookups in this reservoir.

Combat Fly Fishing they usually do, even in Wyoming. No matter when I fish in Wyoming I tend to land something on a leach even in November.

Great video! Nice fish. What size tippet do you use at Spinney?

4x if I’m fishing midges and 1x if I’m stripping streamers.

Planning on going there in late August, is fly fishing from the shore still a viable option during this time?

Nice informative video! I'm looking forward to my first adventure to Spinney this year. Hopefully on the opener, although I heard it can get crazy. I'm a spin fisherman so what area would you recommend and what lures? I prefer suspending jerkbaits or soft plastics. TIA and tight lines!

Jerkbaits sound good in the mind but don't execute too well in the summer days. As someone that has been recently catching trout there, Tasmanian Devils have done well. Second go to has been lipless crank baits. For the pike there chatter bait will catch you some.
