I've been attempting to spin glove cuffs for my sandblaster using .050" 3003 aluminum with a setup much like this and the material is stretching and tearing every time. I annealed at 775F before starting and it's soft. The cuffs are 7" diameter and 2.25" deep with a .5" flange that steps up to 8" diameter. The roller I've been using has a smaller contact radius than your "roughing" roller. Its about the same as your inside corner roller. Before I machine another roller, could that be an issue?
Nice job, im looking at these Spinning Metal videos during all the morning haha and wondering if there is any way to calculate the metal you need to form a piece, like the circular plate you use at the beginning, or you just test and cut a little bit longer ?
