Spinning silk yarn from quilt batting 🧶 (silk lap) 

I'll take you on a handspun journey starting with silk quilt batting, also called silk lap. From the batt, we will spin silk yarn while I give you all my yarn spinning tips. We will card a batt with a Brother drum carder, spin 100% silk on a spindle, and spin a silk/wool blend on my Schacht Matchless spinning wheel. Let's get spinning!
