Sometimes, just hanging around the internet and just doing your own thing will lead you down a very strange rabbit hole that you never intended to go down in the first place. This recently happened to me, as I found out about an apparently lost dinosaur movie titled "Spinosaurus."

This was a weird internet story! Glad I was able to cover it today. Just goes to show that doing something completely mundane and/or normal on the internet can send you down a weird little rabbit hole sometimes. Anyways, next video should HOPEFULLY be tier 2 of the paleontology fringe theory iceberg, so look out for that at some point!

On the topic of lost media, I checked to see if Prehistoric Planet was lost as well. If it was, then it appears that the first season is at least available to view on RU-vid. If you're curious, Prehistoric Planet was a show that's just a different version of Walking with Dinosaurs and Beasts that aired on Discovery Kids (now Discovery Family) and was edited to fit for a more younger audience.

Well, this might be fake, but there is a real piece of media out there that does cover a story about dinosaurs in the Vietnam War. They’re the Primitive War novels by Ethan Petus and I recommend you check them out if you haven’t already.

I *need* someone to make a short film about this. Both the bits about Viet-Cong "Phi đội Rồng"(what Google-translate says is the Vietnamese for 'Dragon Squadron') fighting American swiftboats somewhere in the Mekong Delta, then the students making the film, and finally NUGET's efforts on covering it up. This just feels like The Primitive War with extra steps Primitive War is this book about a squad of soldiers in Vietnam encountering dinosaurs. I haven’t read it yet, but I feel like it drew inspiration from this conspiracy or vice versa.

Since Vietnam was fought in extremely jungle-infested areas, many of the battles were fought on the ground that underwent guerilla-style tactics. Bombs and guns wouldn't be as effective there because of that.

Well, I thought I've seen all the dinosaur movies that has been ever made but I stand corrected I've discovered a few, that I haven't seen yet but one of my favorites is the Valley of the Gwangi starting James Francusicus sorry if I missed spelled his name he was one of my favorite actors back in the day.

Well people debate if it was a true military loss and not just a loss from politics, since there were already peace talks with the north. The war ultimately ended with America after Nixons whole watergate scandal when any support for the war had dried up and Nixon tried to save whatever face he had left.

I thought this was gonna be one of this shitty DTV B-movies but boy was the actual thing weirder then I coul ever think. From what I can tell, maybe this children's film was about a kid discovering dinosaurs living alive in SE Asia and had villains be comically bumbling americans, and through the internet's endless game of telephone it mutated. As for why the CIA would want to do it... never underestimate how thin-skinned Cold War American Government could get.

Maybe Ethan Pettus created the fake conspiracy theory in the first place. He's the author of FANTASTIC novel "Primitive War". In fact the image of the feathered T.rex with human soldiers Diego uses is concept art for a scene in the book. I recommend the audio version.

I don't know if you would review a novel, but Darkwing, book 0 of the Silverwing series, is one of my favorite pieces of paleomedia. It takes place right after dinosaurs went (mostly) extinct, and follows the path of two mammal characters. The main character is a bat who is born with the ability to fly, while the rest of his family is only capable of gliding. The antagonist is a small carnivore (an ancestor to cats I think), who is keenly aware of the fact that the position for apex predator is now open, and is eager to take advantage of that. It's on the more fantastical side, since the characters are talking animals. But the evolution and natural selection is a major theme in it, and it's fairly accurate to irl prehistoric animals. Even if you don't think you'd want to review it, it's a pretty good book just to read, especially if you love dinosaurs and prehistoric life/evolution in general. Also Fossil Fighters Champions is my favorite dinosaur video games, it's got literal necromancy and robots and stuff. Plus the characters' dialogue is top-tier writing.

This is kinda Prophetic. Theres a novel series called "primitive war" which is literally abt (paleontological correct!!!) Dinosaurs in the vietnam war. Theyre just animals though and hunt soldiers indiscriminately. Its an AMAZING book series which is being made in a soon published graphic novel and soon also into a movie.
