Me and my children love these! They first had them fried and absolutely loved them. I stopped making most fried foods and if we go out about our only bad bad bad fried anything we ever and almost only get fried is fried chicken! Other than that we try to do grilled and oor sauted or baked!! So it is really refreshing to see you baking these tators its awesome!!!! Job well done! Every nomnnj

I use my Stainless Steel Apple Peeler / Corer / Spiral Slicer to instantly spiral slice (and peel or not peel) the potatoes. Best of all, the spiral slices come out the same size thus cooking the same vs some cooking more than others when some are thicker than others. It looks better too. I paid about $15 for mine. Sometimes I use my $20 electric Rotato to peel and sometimes shred them. The skins and near the skins have 50% of the nutrients so keep and cook them too. Two very inexpensive kitchen gadgets that save tons of time, are fun to use bad very easy to clean.

After spiral cutting, try rinsing the extra starch off the potatoes, let them dry and proceed with the recipe. That should make them crispier if desired.
