Thank you so much for this idea- I can’t believe I never thought of it before. This is going to change my life (and my willingness to make homemade mashed potatoes more than just once a year) 😉
This will make a putzy job pleasant! I have 15# I’m going to peel and slice for my dehydrator. I’m thinking I’ll scrub them and dehydrate the peels too. Thanks!
How do you take the blade off so it doesnt core the potatoes? I'd like to try tornado potatoes and I know to lower the blade so it doesnt peel them either
It will core the potato the same time it slices it. You can try out veggies spiralizer if you don’t want to core it. www.pamperedchef.com/pws/tammynichols/shop/Gifts/Wedding/Veggie+Spiralizer/2111
Thanks for replying firstly. I also bought the other spiralizer that very resembles this machine. İt spiralizes the potato on the stick but it is very difficult to use; its blade is very thin and bends when the potato pushes it. This slicer's blade is rigid so I bought this one but later saw that it cores the potato. Maybe if I can cut and separate the circular blade from the main blade, it won't core the potato. A machine which cores and slices only apple is really useless and silly for me..
