Boeing is set up for financial engineering, not aerospace engineering. Something like $40M in CEO pay between Boeing and Spirit vs $5M for one CEO of whole Airbus that actually gets the job done 😂
Unfortunately there is no agency responsible for policing the news media, there are no quality control standards or credibility in today's news reports.
It's what happens when you cut corners, outsource most of your work and try to save money - you're going to get a subpar product with low quality controls.

Let me explain. Boeing intends to exit the low RONA business of building aircraft in Puget Sound. As such they intend to maximize profits on their Puget Sound backlog (737, 767, and 777) and then leave. This entails minimal investment in commercial aircraft R&D and production capital. I expect their main effort now is lobbying Congress to get the FAA off their back.
Another 737 Max lost an engine during takeoff a couple weeks ago in Atlanta and had to return to the airport. Not much news in the media about it...they're playing cover-up for Boeing as expected. Seems they want to keep it quiet...SPREAD THE WORD!
There is likewise not much in the news about several emergency landings of Airbus planes in the past year for hydraulic problims. Such things don't usually get much coverage unless there are consequences.
i suggest US gov step in and make a deal with china. boeing will outsource 737 production to china and in return, china would drop 919. at rate this is going, boeing may have to exit narrow body market
The biggest issue in aircraft right now is the worthless "mechanics" they have hired. Say out of 90 people maybe 10 have the quality on a personal level needed to be in a job with this amount of responsibility. I know 1st hand that the new people they bring in have little to no pride in their work and are just there for a paycheck.
