Is it Love Field or DFW when did they start flying out of DFW??

It's DFW, that's the only airport Spirit has flown to. They have never had commercial flights at Love Field. They started flying to DFW in 2005.

A VERY unusual pushback--A U-shaped push followed by the tug pulling you forward some hundred feet for engine start--wondering why the a/c couldn't simply be pushed over by those AA aircraft and started there? Noticed the leading edge was already down before pushback, wondering if that's procedure for Spirit pilots? I believe AA is your normal carrier of choice---how did Spirit's fare to LAX compare with AA's? Going to visit family? Give me an 'old' A320--I miss that IAE sound during takeoff! The neo's engines are too quiet! Did you get a Big Front Seat?

Yeah, definitely. I guess they wanted to get more head start and less taxi time under engine power. Most Airbus A320 and A330 family aircraft, when the temperature is over 30°C/86°F, they leave the flaps and slats a bit extended to avoid overheating warnings on some of their sensors. It's a procedure that a lot of airlines use. They were over $70 cheaper than American this time around. I did purchase the Big Front Seat for a good price. I also miss the IAE sounds, all modern aircraft barely make any noise.
