I actually have an idea for Spirit: Riding Free Season 9, which could serve as the final season, Lucky and Spirit are busy living in Miradero, when Spirit sees a giant herd of horses and runs off, Lucky, Pru, and Abigail follow him with Chica Linda and Boomerang, however, it’s not just any herd Spirit follows, it’s the Cimarron Herd, ( From the 2002 Movie, it’s gotten bigger overtime ) Spirit, Lucky, and the other arrive at a giant grassland, the other horses look at Spirit and recognize him immediately, they’re overjoyed to see him, one of the horses calls out in the distance, and Spirit looks up on a nearby hill, his parents, Rain, his mother, and the original Spirit ( From the 2002 Movie ) , his father, while they have aged and gotten a bit of gray hair, they’re still thriving and Spirit Sr. is still leading the herd, Spirit Sr. recognizes his son immediately and he and Rain run over and embrace his son, Lucky realizes that this herd was his family, ( Sadly, Esperanza isn’t present because she died from old age ), Spirit Sr. sees Lucky, Pru, Abigail, Boomerang, and Chica Linda and try to shoo them away, but Spirit defends them, Spirit Sr. is confused and father and son whinny at each other, ( Kinda like an argument ) but Rain steps in front of them, breaking them up, Rain reassures Spirit Sr., reminding him about his encounter with the Lakotas and that Rain was also once owned by a human, so he lets the kids stay, this season will focus on Lucky’s time with the Cimarron, hey maybe Mixtli can make a comeback! And I think the perfect villain could be a soldier who happens to be the Grandson of the Colonel ( The Villain of the 2002 Movie ) Wanting to finish what he had started, to capture Spirit Sr. and break him, and on the final episode, Spirit and Lucky officially go their separate ways, Lucky tells Spirit he needs to stay with his herd and lead them, and he has a new opportunity to be a herd leader again, Spirit at first doesn’t want to leave her, but she tells him that this is for his own good, Spirit and Lucky embrace one final time and Spirit runs off with his parents and the rest of his herd, with Lucky looking on and smiling, tears running down her cheeks. ( I was also thinking of putting Maricela and Mystery in the final season, and you know, Mystery is Spirit’s love, I was thinking, should Maricela let Mystery go as well and let her be a free horse with Spirit? )
That's a beautiful story to find the Herd Spirit with his parents (Spirit Cimarron and Rain) and the final of Spirit Jr. and the PALs (Pru, Abigail and Lucky) with her horses.
