This is the 1st animation of the teaching Spirit, Soul, and Body, which is a foundational truth that is essential for understanding how much God loves you and believing what He says about you in His Word. Each person is made up of three different parts: spirit, soul, and body.
Learn how these three parts relate to God and to each other. At salvation, your spirit is totally changed, but your soul and body are not yet redeemed. This series will teach you how to release the life that is already in your spirit, into your physical body and emotions.

This is great! I wondered why I feel better and more confident after reading the Bible. I literally feel like a new man. Friends can actually tell when I have missed a few days of reading. I become cold and shy and very little patients or love. The Bible makes me wise, confident and full of love. I never knew why but I now make sure I have my Bible time.

I'm a "hearing learner" and am naturally philosophical and cognitvely drive to abstract thinking. It helps with understand complex ideas like the trinity etc but it's hard for me to not think abstract and that's a downside..

The Holy Spirit works on all 3 levels of our being. First, He works on taming the desires of the carnal, earthly, physical flesh. Second, He works on the restructuring of our souls to become more able to carry out God's will in our lives. To put our faith into action. Third, He works on our spirit, fashioned in God's image and likeness. The spirit is limitless in dignity, for it is a smaller scale version of God's own goodness, beauty, and perfection. If we so allow Him, the Holy Spirit can magnify the brightness and beauty of our spirit. This occurs when we become obedient and docile to God's commands. As we carry out His will, we grow in unity and oneness with the Lord.

What scripture are you basing that the Holy Spirit physically tames our desires? Where does it say that, please?

Salvation rebirths your spirit first, not last. The holy spirit is that down payment of salvation, sealing our spirit from sin. Our souls are changed in that we are given a new heart by God (which is why you don't WANT to sin). As we renew our mind to the word, that lets the spirit that God already changed manifest into our thinking and our body. It's this realization of the real you being a Spirit made just like God (in fact, scripture says we are become ONE with him, not just shadows or smaller pieces, but ONE) that allows you to lose the affections for sin. It is up to us to bring captive every thought contrary to that, and this is what "tames" carnal desires. It's in realizing we die to it when we died with Christ, and we come alive in truth when we came alive (in our spirit) with Christ. He doesn't tame the desires for you, he gives you a completely new heart, a protected and joined spirit with His, and these give you a new set of desires that run contrary to the habits of the old man. In the end, however, it will be 100% up to you, as the person, to choose to believe the right stuff and apply it. Then you will see it take affect in all aspects of your life. We are like our Father, in that we are Truth-speaking spirits of love. Any belief we have that is contrary to that, or puts some other steps on God other than what he already finished gives us ground to slow down or look less like Jesus. And if we truly believe what is false, we effectively poison the word in us, which makes it ineffectual. Like a fish breathing air, or a bird breathing water. It simply smothers us. This is why knowing truth, and understanding who we are is so important and why we are encouraged that "in all your getting, get understanding".

God will speak directly to your spirit. He does all the time. WHEN He does, we verify it with the written Word. When we hear a word, in our spirit, or from someone preaching the Word, the Holy Spirit witnesses to OUR spirit, as to the Truth of that word, or the lack thereof... as in the case of "False Doctrine". John 14:26 "He (the Holy Spirit) will guide you into ALL TRUTH" John 16:13

Pastor Wommack. I am 54, and I remember an event that happened when I was around 9 or 10 years old. I was sitting outside when all of a sudden I did not fit in my body. I was looking through very big eye sockets and seemed like I was too small for my body! My family was never religious so I knew nothing about what I know now. This event lasted a few seconds. I have often wondered what happened and why? I was definitely not one with my body in that few seconds!

Spirit can be experienced once you have a purist heart and willing-by-God. Spirit has no feelings or emotions but you are in the state of "fully awake". And after that experience, you realised that you are more than just a soul which blinded with feelings of emotions.

Gerald Murray actually, the same Hebrew and Greek words all mean the same thing. Life, soul, living being all the same. And at death, nothing leaves the body, as we're not made up of a ghost. Ghost and immortal spirits are Ancient pagan teachings. Greek mythology. At death, that's it. We return to the ground as dust. The Bible says this and we know it to be true. When dead bodies decompose, we return to earth as dust. And that's what God said. And their we remain until the resurrection. Which will occur at the second coming of Jesus! Paul uses the word immortality to describe what is GIVEN to the Saints at the Resurrection. Never is it used as something inherent to humans.

Please consider making a visual explaining spiritual warfare. So many Christians hang on to what God says, his promises, and all the good stuff - and life happens and they wonder what THEY did wrong. They have NO idea that they have an adversary, that we’re in a literal spiritual war and they have a part to play! To do or find something like this came to me a few days. I found it. Lol This would help SOOOOOO many people along with listening to Andrew’s Believers Authority. Thanks!!
