My main issue with this precon was reprints. Would it have been so hard to get a kindred discovery or anointed procession reprint. Great content as always.
I was thinking that maybe spirits wasn't a tribe packed with reprint value, but yeah, Kindred Discovery is 100% perfect for a reprint. It's even edh exclusive
I thought I was almost the only one having thought of Strixhaven Stadium! Well, now I know I'm not completely mad! ;) I've been loving this precon and the deckbuilding process around it. It's a bit trickier to balance than Wilhelt, because Spirits have less support and raw power in the history of the game, but having so many fliers and pesky creatures can be a huge starting point. Thanks for the video, it helped me focus on a couple points, too.
I was excited to see this deck come out. I noticed I had a lot of spirit cards in my collection but didn't have the energy to build a whole deck from it. This precon was just what I needed and I could easily substitute some of my own spirits
I would never thought that in the year that WotC gave us the first RG precon (and that being dragon tribal) that I was gonna be far more excited for spirits. There's a lot to love in this precon, and some nice toys to add as well. And if you're like me, and really like tribal and swinging, my first card to add would be True Conviction
@@tfms1andy Double strike is really good when your commander triggers on combat damage all over the board. Double damage, double triggers, and it will force the boardwipe, leaving you with even more tokens. Not saying that it's craterhoof for spirits, but still pretty good (I know, non tokens only, but you get the idea)
Hey Joey thanks a lot for this episode! I picked up the deck yesterday and I cannot wait to try it out, been waiting for a proper spirit tribal commander for a long time! A nice add could be Keep Watch, lots of card draw to refill our hand at instant speed since we should have a wide board, but it works on other players' boards too! Also, True Conviction and Duelist's Heritage are pretty good, Millicent loves double strike!
March of Souls is an excellent boardwipe for this deck, especially with the phasing support for stuff you don't want to lose. Also, Faithbound Judge for a decent body and future wincon. I did however tweak this deck hard into a Brago deck instead focusing on the exile loops.
I would like to recommend one more card in the finisher slot. I have had great success with the card True Conviction. I think its a great second copy of cathar’s crusade in any white-X aggressive deck. It’ll still nock players from the red zone with double strike and it also either puts you further out of reach or can help you swing a game back with the lifelink. 10/10 would play anywhere.
I didn't notice that anyone else remarked on it, but when considering your emphasis on the tribal nature of this deck and the reinforcing of the +1/+1 aspects of certain cards I find it surprising that you didn't even mention the possibility of including Coat of Arms. At the very least, this could cause your opponents to focus on removing that card, thus allowing you to pull a fast one on them when they think they've eliminated your biggest threat.
I wouldn't put Court of Grace in the deck. Becoming a monarch just invites opponents to attack you. And by blocking, you might loose more than just one spirit you'd gain.
Drogskol Reaver could easily be Elesh Norn. Their price points are broadly the same, they cost the same mana but Norn has a more immediate impact which is what you want from a 7 drop card. Making your 1/1 spirits able to trade with 5/5s is super good
Not sure if you'll see this, but what is your favourite content to make? Is it something like Upping the Average, Precon Recon, is it the regular EDHRECast, or do you prefer streaming?

Rush of Knowledge could be good, the deck may not be running a lot of high mana value spirits, but Millicent sure is. I’m not sure how Magical Christmasland this is, but pulling off a turn four Millicent and followed up with a turn five Rush of Knowledge sounds very good.
Right now U have an Azorius commander deck based on the Venture and Party mechanic which is an absolute flavor win, but I love aggressive wide decks. I just need to find an older deck I own to sacrifice to it XD

I know I'm late to the party, but I just picked up this precon and one of the cards i love that i've added is Konda's Banner. with how cheap Millicent is in the midgame, it's easy to throw Konda's Banner on her and buff all your spirits with +2/+2
