+Zylice Liddell We made each our own top 10 themes from this game, much like all other games in the series, if you haven't seen it. Or..did you think of ranking up a list of all the games' soundtrack into one ranking? :P
TheNerdyGinger I agree with you, Fraaz is somehow cooler than Twinrova in Ocarina of Time. The battle versus Twinrova in OoT is too much to repeatative compared to the battle versus Fraaz, at least in my opinion. I don't recall that I died, but there is one trick that makes Fraaz easier than what he might be if you don't think of that trick. You probably know what I am talking about though.
Tor Asbjørn One of the reasons why I loved Twinrova when I was little was just how awesome the shield looked when it absorbed their powers xD But I still think it's really fun to reflect their beams back at them, but yes, the battle could be less repetitive. No, what trick? :o
Twinrova is so overrated. I remember playing OOT for the first time, and looking forward to Twinrova because of how everyone said it was so good. I was utterly disappointed. It's so easy, I don't recall getting hit once, and it was super repetitive too. And when I say I've died on Frazz, I don't mean I have trouble with him. I just mean I've died once.
TheNerdyGinger Hehe, I can see why people think they're overrated, but I still enjoy fighting them :) It's easy to avoid their attacks, but they deal out a lot of damage if you get hit. Nono, I got that :p
10: Maladus, 1st Phase (you said everything) 9: Stagnox (okay for a first boss, but kinda boring) 8: Fraaz (I actually think this boss to be quite annoying) 7: Chancellor Cole and Demon Zelda (the atmosphere is cool, but the battle is over much too early) 6: Phytops (weird appearance, but the fight is good) 5: Demon Train (great music and atmosphere and a very good fight) 4: Skeldritch (great skelleton boss and a very interesting concept) 3: Byrne (I really like this boss, but I also didn't mind controlling Zelda in this fight or in the Tower of Spirits) 2: Maladus, 2nd Phase (amazing end to an amazing game) 1: Cragma (this boss is pure fun!)
To be honest I really enjoyed the boss of the Snow Temple. No not the Ice Keese. Those were the mini-boss. I meant the main boss. I don't know. Just the idea of using the Boomerang to turn his own magic against him was quite clever in of itself but the halfway part where he destroys the torches just took me by surprise forcing you to use the blue and red fires he starts from his attacks after they hit the ground as makeshift torches.
@@TheOwnersOfTriforce The Demon Train is my favorite i love the battle theme and plus at the end of the battle you blast his face with the cannon so awesome
Malladus should have been number 1: -he has a good design -the music is beautiful -Link and Zelda fight together -and the final blow is a pure reference to Ocarina of time
Byrne/Staven lacked variation? I thought he was pretty dynamic. He forces you to use Zelda defensively with some attacks and then forces you to dodge with others in his first phase. It was also a bit tricky to figure out how to bring him off the pillars. In his second phase, you forgot how you need to fight him as Link, and only after losing that duel does he charge at you. Overall, it's a good combination of using Zelda, protecting her, and fighting him with Link. Link and Zelda really have to work as a team. Edit: Also, Malladus phase 1 may be bad mechanically, but it's good thematically. It really feels like a tiring struggle to protect Zelda. Edit #2: You forgot Dark Link. He's not at the end of a dungeon, but he still counts as an optional boss I think. Plus he's still after a bunch of enemies at least.
Even though I've only played the European version, I'm more used to several of the North American names. Staven is one that really stuck with me from the EU version, but names such as Skeldritch I find better. - Owner 1
One thing I love about this game is the fact there's a lot of new or at least obsqure monsters in this game, it really sells the whole 'place that we've only known about for under a century' vibe
The demon train reminds me of final fantasy on the snes. All attacks were useless against the phantom train and you had to heal it with a Phoenix down( revive) before it one-shotted everybody
The PH bosses were sooooo much better. Although I love the final boss theme from ST i have to admit... the fight/s was lame as Hell. Almost all the other previous bosses in the game were much more cooler than Malladus. My favourite was ur no4. :-)
The PH bosses weren't too bad. Not exactly sure which ones I like better :P Yeah, I remember you weren't happy about the final boss, and even called it one of the worst final bosses in the series :p Skeldritch was cool, but still a bit frustrating :p
TheOwnersOfTriforce the funny is that I don't remember calling him one of the worsts in the series but that's absolutely true! I hate that final boss! But I LOVE its soundtrack! LOL :P Btw, I never asked u before.. what u think about Zelda Wii U?
TheOwnersOfTriforce Skeldritch is just pure awsomeness :p I didn't find him that frustrating, but a cool fight. He makes you move (unless you want to take damage and die) :p
ParalimniVoice I'm not 100%, but something tells me that you did xD I think we were discussing the music then ;) Hmm...I was hoping for a graphic style more alike the tech demo we saw for Wii U, but it still looks beautiful. It seems a bit more high tech than I would prefer, with that giant robot-lookalike chasing Link, and the arrow he used in the end. But still, I can't wait to play it. The whole open world stuff sounds very interesting, and it's a Zelda game after all, so I really am excited :D
Tor Asbjørn Cool fight, but it might not be frustrating for everyone. I was probably more frustrated than Owner 2, but maybe there's just something wrong with my DS, I don't know :p Very true, Tor ;)
I like the train. It's nice to see New Hyrule get a bit modern after the Great Flood in Wind Waker, and it kinda makes sense. Spirit Tracks is at the end of the Adult Timeline.
Honestly, most the controlling Zelda complaints are pretty dumb, considering controlling Zelda through the tower is actually very great and she is an amazing way to set up really interesting puzzles. Im rather dissapointed that this list didn't embrace Spirit Tracks, but rather took the classical approach of "Spirit Tracks is unlike any Zelda game and therefore not as good" Spirit Tracks has many flaws, buts its also full of content, interesting missions, and TRAINS! Honestly, never understood the whole thing of "trains are weird for Zelda," its very clear that New Hyrule is far more technologically advanced than most other Hyrules, there are references to movies, there's a cameraman, literally trains, and Skeldritch is literally a steam punk sciborg skeleton (yeah, blowing ya mind)
Not really, the tentacles progressively getting more aggressive and moving around a ton adds a lot of difficulty, its not all that easy, I'd say its harder than any boss in the game. I basically beat every boss on my first try in the game EXCEPT for Phytops.
Can't choose, I liked them all; also I noticed that you mentioned Byrne (Staven)'s voice to be cool. That's because he's voice acted by the same guy that voice acted Ghirahim.
I hate cragma the annoying thing is if he puts his hands in your face if you don't shoot his hands he will grab you and you will get knocked off the minecart and lose a heart and a half
Cragma is my least favourite because if he blocks his eye with his hand you have to shoot the hand no matter what because if you don't he will grab you and knock you off the minecart and you lose a heart and a half and you have to start again
The Chancellor Cole and Malladus(Zelda) boss fight reminds me of the last boss from Crash Bandicoot Warped cos you are fighting the main villains minion and you friend is fighting the main villain at the same time. The Warped boss far better though.
This is the game I'm 3rd most ashamed of getting rid of. My progress was haulted becasue I didn't know you were supposed to blow into the mic when using the stupid flute thing. Not as bad as getting rid of Paper Mario Thousand Year Door due to having 0 coins, no Wackabumps left, saved, and on a deserted island though... got I hate little me.
I actually really like Fraaz because I found him somewhat challenging. It is a 3 phase battle that makes good use of the boomerang, and had a great battle theme to go along with it
With 6, I'm not sure if the boss looking ugly is a bad thing for you, but if so, think about this: in a REAL fantasy adventure, fighting monster wouldn't just be like fighting badass titans and elemental masters. There's going to be some ugly ones.
I personally think chancellor Cole is the worst boss of the game (by the way the enemies he summons are mice) .I also think Byrne is the best. He’s easy but he is still fun .Plus, you barely have to move phantom Zelda.
Am I the only person who found it took ages to blow the correct notes when you are facing up to malladus every time I thought that I had copied the exact notes that Zelda had played but it never said that I had done it was just really so annoying and frustrating when I had finally done it right I was really glad but it took me ages to do it did anyone else have the same problem or was it just me who for some reason found it to be just so blooming #frustatedallthetime. XX
When I was at the Zelda orchestra (ballad of the goddess) and when they played boss music from this game, it showed footage from Frazz and unlike all the other bosses, nobody clapped or whooped.
TheOwnersOfTriforce Not sure, I like him but one of the reasons for that is that when I first played spirit tracks, my childish self was excited about everything.
Ooooh! Hahaha, sorry xD Well, I loved it as a kid, anyway :p I still have fond memories of it, but I haven't really watched it in many, many years. - Owner 1
TheOwnersOfTriforce It was never a programme I really liked, even as a kid. I thought you meant that you still liked to watch it, which would be kinda weird considering you're an adult now. Haha. Sorry, my bad.
How come we in America got the cooler name of Cragma for the boss while you got Vulcano? Even I admit that Vulcano sounds lame for a boss, much less, or especially for a Zelda boss. Am I right, you guys?
I have a random question XD. Its really weird to ask but do you know Marcus and Martinus? They are 2 young Norwegian boys and they sing in Norwegian language their music is just amazing. Check them out on youtube sometime if you like :)
We'd appreciate it if you wrote in English, but if I google translate is right, you're saying that Stagnox was the worst to you? Also, which boss is Mallard? Malladus or something? - Owner 1
TheOwnersOfTriforce I am not very good in english,i am spanis, and yes, mallard is malladus in spanish, stagnox in spanish is escaronte, but as the name I do not like, I call stagnox xD
I understand, but you wrote English very well! :D I see, so you thought Malladus was disappointing? We can get that. Stagnox is kind of a cool name, but I don't know how Escaronte really sounds, because I don't know Spanish at all xD
Playgamer145 Hehe xD Well, I'll try to just use google translate if you write in Spanish again, but I can't promise that I will get everything correctly xD Though, your English is perfectly fine, so if that's no trouble for you, then we can easily communicate :)
