This was so important, epic, historic. Such a huge moment for Metal. Empowered women owning it in a scene that’s been so misogynistic in the past is truly inspiring.
The first backing vocal you heard was their bassist Josh Gilbert, formerly of As I Lay Dying and he has an amazing voice but hasn’t really showcased it yet since joining Spiritbox. Josh also mixed/produced this live recording as well. Hopefully the metal community understands how important this moment really was. Seeing these two on stage together was surreal and hopefully it leads to more collabs and maybe a tour.
Harper is living proof of hearing this kind of music, her favorite band being Spiritbox, and wanted to do it and now she’s putting out bangers at such a young age! I love influential metal women, whether they’re vocalists or play an instrument. It’s so important to this community.
I just went to a show Spirtbox opened, and I'm so upset that I couldn't make it in time to see them because I worked so far from the venue. I would've never forgiven myself if I learned Tatiana performed with them too 😂
I knew it would be awesome whenever this finally happened, but it's even better than I could have hoped for. There are so many little details that make this performance amazing and it will forever be my favorite version of this song
I was there. I didnt even know Tati was there cuz i was busy holding up crowd surfers, getting banged around near the pit. Plus everyone said you could barely hear Tati. I just remember thinking " wow, courtney's vocals have gotten more intense! ...Little did i know ...although, later I got to see Jinjer on a different stage
This was amazing. I loved hearing how their voices mixed, but also hearing Tati filling out the low end with the growls under Courtney's cleans was a nice touch. And it's always nice to hear a 'blech' thrown in. (which I'm not sure I've heard from Tati before?)
Agreed. I think they both amazing in their own way and I'm a big fan of both, But if you put gun to my head with a demand I choose one... I choose Courtney. Her cleans are a level above, And her screams are a little more versatile. But there's no denying Tati got that growl man!
You mention these two ladies showing the way for young girls, the future of metal. You, without realizing it, are showing the same, young, impressionable ones how to do The Best Listener Stank Face, bar none. There, I said it. Tauri is a pathbreaker. Keep up the good gnarls, Tauri.... what a helluva show to wake up to : "Oh, look ... Tauri posted..." and THIS happened !!. Not even into the coffee yet and I am pumped for the day !!
Tatiana has a number of great collaboration with other bands. If you have not reacted to her collaboration with 12 Foot Ninja "Over and Out"(OMV), I highly recommend it. Good reaction (Subbed)
Just dropping by to leave a quick comment! The stage performance is on another level! Looking for the latest reactions from the band Spiritbox to the song Soft Spine and the band Jinjer to the song Rogue, and watching you sing along to the lyrics, have you ever had the opportunity to try an interview with the girls Courtney and Tatiana? I watch your interviews and I don't remember ever having talked to either of them! Tatiana lives in Ukraine, and Courtney lives in Canada! It would be interesting to get a closer look at the experiences of each of these girls! And as you say, girls who represent the empowerment that today's youth needs for the younger ones! Big kiss to this heart! Take care! 🥰🙏💜
@@beccareichard6669 Hi Beca! I wrote one word and the translator put another! Thanks for the information! Another thing, is your last name Reichardt? The same as my mother's!!!!
@@rosana1961 Yeah of course! They said they moved there because it was more convenient because that’s where their producer lives. So now all 4 members are in the states as Zev lives in Pennsylvania and I can’t remember where Josh lives. And my last name is just Reichard without the t at the end. I know the most common spelling of it has the t at the end but I heard from my family history from my great grandpa that some of the Germans that fled here during WWII dropped the t since the original German spelling is that way, but they dropped it as to not be associated with Germany at the time or for people to assume they were associated with the Nazi party.
@@beccareichard6669 Interesting! My maternal great-grandfather came to Brazil in 1889, and they settled where I live today! And his real name is Georg Reichhardt, with a T at the end and two h's! He came from Bukovina, which is now northern Romania! I have a book that tells the story of these immigrants who came to Brazil and those who went to the US! Man! I loved hearing about this! Very good! Thank you! Sorry, one more piece of information: are you Becca, who is in Tauri's Discord community?
Lol tati is like arguably the best metal growler/screamer/cleans combo vocalist talentwise in the entire genre male or female😂😂....but doesn't get that level of shine coz the band is mainly technical proggy djent instead of super mainstream legacy bands from 80s/90s or the newer radio friendly metalcore like this song lol.
Their bassist Josh did the mix! Apparently the sound on the day was pretty terrible...You couldn't hear Tati for a decent amount of her performance. Props to Josh for salvaging this!
@@GeekFurious but that's at least more than half of her performance that was ruined, how can you say you disagree with people saying there was a big issue with her mic?
@@NiamorH her mic wasn't wasn't working from start to finsh, it seems they were desperately trying to adjust it throughout the peperformance, to be honest it woulda been cool to see live, but nowhere as cool as the post production makes it sound, would love to see more Corey and tati colabs in the future.
lol tati doesn't have any specific "style" of harsh vocals......she's kinda chameleon that can do entire spectrum of growl/screams whether false chord, fry screams or false fold-true fold fusion mix
