I wasn't triggered by the title because I'm old enough to know who Garbage is and it's kinda true :D This one has a strong Garbage vibe to it, with a little bit of NIN, and overall you know it's still Spiritbox.

I’m 45 and I love Garbage and I thought the same thing. I feel like this is only the beginning of how creative Spiritbox can be. More please!

i was honestly floored by each of the tracks to come out today, this song is so catchy and groovy but also so heavy its insane. They are all so unique i honestly dont know which i like more than the others, Sew me up is Korn vibes in the best way possible and Hysteria is just... gawd damn. Also think each of these songs are going to translate AMAZING live, need to see them

Spiritbox themselves said that their fans may not like this, I personally love this diversity. It sounds like a natural progression for this band. The whole EP is amazing and there is definitely a place for it in metal

Great reaction/review. Really like how you just got into it. I'm a bit surprised you didn't call out that weird meter change at 2:15-ish...it sounds super proggy and caught me off guard (in a good way) the first time I heard it. Drummer is an absolute beast. Other than that great reaction!

Honestly, I kind of hated this song at first, but now that I've heard it a few times, I'm really enjoying it now. It's very fun and catchy. I don't think it's anything super unique, but it's done really well, especially the production is great. Courtney obviously sounds amazing, too.

The transitions in this were amazing. Love that they keep experimenting. On first listen Hysteria was my favorite, but the more I hear this the more I like it.

Garbage is a good band and I got the joke :) Glad you like the vibes, I got into them because of The Mara Effect pt. 1, i like the change in sound while the core sound i feel hasn't changed, the soul is still really the feel like you're trapped in a stone maze, I don't know how else to explain it, I'm glad they change things up that much without the thing that makes them special, in my opinion, being messed with. Also, liking a band a lot doesn't make you a simp, I like seeing people happy and having fun, and this is a VERY good video for that :) you earned a sub and a little bell icon ding by the way, hope you have a great rest of your week

I was honestly not expecting Spiritbox to release a 3 track EP but this was freaking awesome and I can't wait to see what else they have in store because this single was just soooo groovy and refreshing to listen to. Also that breakdown was so damn good 🙂

Love all the "They're just trying tog et on the radio" comments everywhere. Yeah lots of songs on the radio with breakdowns like that. Hysteria could be on the radio and then BAM! The last minute of that song reminds me of the last part of the Mara Effect. I'm sure Deftones would've gone through this same crap if social media had been around when they were first coming out. I don't love every Deftones song but I love how they aren't scared to evolve and try new sounds.

Really interesting track, I enjoyed it. Still has that nu metal/djent groove but with elements of industrial metal. Idk if you knew but they also dropped 2 more songs along with this one you should check out.

i might be crazy but this actually really gives me the like super creepy vibes that they had in the beginning! I love eternal blue with all my heart but this made me super excited cause it really reminds me of when I started listening to them

The song in general was fun and actually really refreshing to hear. Courtney killed it as always and Mike’s guitar work on this gives me chills. Definitely got the industrial vibe when hearing the guitar. Looking forward to more of this from them

My first impression of this was indeed flashbacks to Garbage. And that's never bad.

BASURA! Nice reference to the Garbage influence. Stupid Girl came into mind. I surely miss the sound of their debut EP tho.

It took me a listen or two, but I am totally on board. I'm hooked now, I didn't know how much I wanted some Industrial-grundge-core.

Courtney's vocals reminding me of that whisper talking/singing that Billie Eilish does. Almost like a haunting voice kinda cool!

i think by the halfway point i was sold on the track, at first i was a little lost with the style, but i think it was just a matter of adaptation. gotta admit, i dig the track overall and definitely hear the Garbage influence people have mentioned. I couldn't pick what it reminded me of until i read the comments ahaha

Love Spiritbox for this, now people can't keep em in a box, really creative band!! 👌 Def industrial vibes added to their usual groove but keeps their signature sound intact. Their ability to create that atmosphere is such a vibe and definitely a reason their so special, that with their ability to write super well structured songs. BASURA

My girlfriend said it sounds like Dad Rock, lmao. It's cool Courtney and them bringing back some early 2000's metal but mixing in new stuff. I started following them not too long ago. It was probably only like October last year or something I wanna say I found them. Saw them live back in March. Would like to go again. Felt bad, she was getting over Covid and was kind of fatigued. Still rocked out the show. I'd love to see them as a headliner. So many good songs.

I think everyone is really overreacting it's not like all 3 songs are straight up pop. Hysteria has that old school Spiritbox sound and we're still going to continue to get that, just because they release a song that's a little different doesn't mean they're abandoning their original sound.

Interesting track. Personally not vibing with it as much as their previous stuff but still a good song that shows them going in a different direction. Hysteria is my favorite from the new EP
