I understand many people have many different answers to spiritual warfare and attacks. But this is the Bible answer, not the "me" answer: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36
You need to be set free for GOOD.
This doesn’t mean the devil won’t tempt or attack you externally afterwards, but between you and the Word, there must be peace. That’s where the spiritual warfare began in the garden of Eden.
The Gospel message is clear, mankind was created with purpose, direction, design, detail, peace and safety. But we chose our own way, by the influence of the devil.
"for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23
I'm no different than you, I try extremely hard to meet a standard every single day that I can just feel in the back of my mind that I am not reaching. But if we put off that feeling or distract ourselves it'll be ok...
This is not so.
"for the wages of sin is death-" Romans 6:23
By nature I do things which are selfish and wicked, even when with good intentions, they have self gain in mind. It's impossible to avoid, we are flawed because of our own decisions, and these decisions destroy us, I know, lots of bad news. Bad news like "if I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear me;" - Psalm 66:18
What if I had some good news for you?
The wages of sin are indeed death, sin does separate from God, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
The good news is that Christ paid that payment God was looking for in order to be together with mankind, that separation has been reconnected through Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, coming down to earth, living a sinless life (the standard we keep trying to reach) and dying on an old rugged cross with nails in His hand and a crown of thorns on His head. This all occured because we are sinful people, BUT... a sinful people whom God still loves and wants to have relationship with... Did Christ die for your sins?
"that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - Romans 10:9-10
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13
Would you like to be saved today? No longer separated from God? Call upon Him for salvation!
