I live between a state of knowing exactly how much time I will spend in every task I have planned for a day and everything fits perfectly, and between a state of existence where time means nothing to me and I'm just flowing as if I'm a house cat without a care in the world. There's no middle ground.
I really like how you went through basic categories, acknowledging that there's overlap and thought of in different ways at different times and a different locations and even now.

I live in Sweden. Took a course at Stockholm University, Old Norse Religion, which was just a start in my journey into this dynamic field. I have recently in the last 2 years but mostly this year come into a beautiful gift of 'seeing'. I have had the most amazing ability to see all kinds of energies/entities/ or the 'unseen' and in so many various forms and also in different light forms (hard for me to find the right description) shades of of light or energies; as well as sizes shapes, movements. Even as well for example the last apparent animal form was a big bird as the size of an eagle or other sorts (i am not familiar with all bird names). Yesterday, for example as well there was a energy that was neither dark nor light but as a energy that I have a hard time describing-this energy is distinguished by the other energies as it has more of a wild vibrancy or nuance in this particular entity- neither being light nor dark - totally wild - I have now encountered this one 2 distinct times (where I see clearly with both eyes and staring right at it going by me). The first time I encountered this type was interesting since I expressed and spoke to it and this wild energy/entity seemed surprised (assuming) that I was able to see them and came back to me. I saw it once again before leaving to go for a jog yesterday. I can go on with this - I find it this all so just amazing and just love it. So wild to have experienced that there are so many difference in the unseen world - so so amazing!

I think that the depiction of elves in TLOR film was accurate in reference to their physical appearance. The thing about them being small, I believe, is that they were confused with smaller entities like the pixies and such. At the end was it a case of put away the book and open the Super Bock?

This is wonderful Arith! - - i'm just a third the way in , have a flu of some sort - but - i have the chance to go out and visit my fox friend tonight as the storms have cleared . . .and looking forward to more. And I'm back. I have always been very interested in the idea of the fyljur and dicir connections. I have always had alot of connection with ravens, crows and owls - all are which seen as 'dark' animals where i live , even in my native community . And i wonder about the role of the owl in my life. I have had many call me an owl person - which again, depending on where you live is a good or bad thing, sort of like a witch. But the owls for me have always informed me of a death that is coming; and more recently i have wondered about more than that - this winter physically warned me three times. What i mean is swooped in front of me at night to stop me . . . and then something else; like a speeding car swerving with a drunk driver took out a pole in front of me.(that was one event, the others were similar) I would love to know your thoughts on this one. And then there's the foxes 🦊 And . . . i just realized youtube switched me over to my old channel and my old name - how can i stop this.

Great information. The 3 Norns refer to the 3 aspects of Great Mother - Nerthus - Creator Sustainer and Destroyer. They are also named Freya Frigga and Hella. They are Matter aspects of the Universe. The 3 complimentary Consciousness aspects are Odin Thor and Loki. They go by various names, so lots of confusion and a lot is lost. The Hindu tradition has preserved the Old Tradition. The 3 Norns are the 3 Gunas. They are represented by Lakshmi Saraswati and Kali. The male Consciousness aspects are Brahma Vishnu and Rudra. Same deities. Same pre-Christian Old Tradition, with some differences due to evolution.

hello Arith - so , first of all this video was wonderful - i'm sure i commented but google has been spontaneously signing out of my accounts so i didn't know i was leaving comments in a 15 year old account name (oh, bloody hell it's stupid) ANYwayyyy - figured out they attached my channel to an old business email (from 20 years ago) well, who would guess. and i'm stuck in doors due to wind storms again. I had a wonderful visit with my fox friend last night - we played together. So, i'm grabbing myself a drink to listen again. i think i had mentioned something about Owls protecting me - and wondered what you thought of that.
I lean more on the side that Disir is a general term for all of the female entities in that religion & I think the Cucullati is a Celtic thing. I thought I had the nature spirit thing down with the Celts, but I've run into some things that are making me rethink that stance lately which makes it come across that their nature spirits were mostly a lot more similar to that of the Slavs, but maybe not an exact 1-1 & I still don't know precisely how it all works together. I appreciate the mention of Sidhe probably referring to sacrificial altars (I think I read that the sacred sites themselves are called Nemeds) & Snorri likely making up the light elf/ dark elf thing, since what he put down makes no sense with everything else we know about them. It's good to know there may be precedence for ignoring that. That Cucullati thing may be about to send me down another rabbit hole, though.
I don't know how I didn't notice this before when I was looking for stuff like it, but, with the Valkyries becoming swans- there is a Celtic story about how the children of the Formorian king, Lir & the sisters of his eventual wife, Eriu/ Alpi, were cursed into swans & prophecied to remain that way for generations to come. I wonder if they considered the two cognate & if that can help us work out what the Valkyrie were?
I see the Eagle as the watchful eye from above, the fox, cunning, intelligence, the Bear is the strength, courage, and Fierce, the wolf is protection, guardian, the bull strength, endurance and fertility.
I feel that old norse cultural traditions and beliefs are to be taken seriously or at least to learn about in one's culture (whether or not one believes it or not - learning the knowledge of our ancestors are of great importance but this is not being taught) however the subject is new and much more complex but now is gaining more knowledge - so hoping this subject gets incorporated into schools for children here. It is important in the respect for the nature around us and the magic and wonder in it that brings forth the creative process of the minds for children. I am quite saddened to see how the trees/forests here are just getting chopped away more and more, disappearing. And this was a huge sin in Scandinavian history- to cut down a tree was considered a very serious matter. The Swedish forest, as I always have felt, is so magical - and to tear down such is well totally in ignorance of ones own cultural history. I feel there should be a law of having education on this field before one can make any decisions about deforestation - to cut down nature in any way.
Learning about the Goddesses Morrigon.. she is an Irish Goddesses but along my travels of knowledge I have found that ther r many strings to wer she originated from the valkyrie..another influence of the Irish culture from the Vikings❤
