It's ludicrous how materialistic all this "modernist" spirituality has gotten. Buddha, Jesus, the various founders of Yoga, etc. would all be utterly disgusted.

Thank you for sharing this info, it's priceless. Please keep exposing these people. Once they get a taste of Fame/money/clients/followers, they just get greedy and can never get enough. I genuinely believe a lot of them are lying about how much money they have just to manipulate people into thinking they know how to get there so they would pay for their "knowledge". It's pathetic.
I started reading the Bible which helped me through a lot of my personal and professional life. My coach blatantly stated that the Bible isn’t true. Completely disrespecting the relationship I’m building with God. She continues to harass me for payment even though I fired her. I’m binge watching your videos, thank you!!!
Signing a contract gets you every time with life coach types. You buy the "package" get 1/10th of the value but they have you on paper and your stuck. It's predatory pretty much 90% of the time.

He brought up a very good point about how some alternative practitioners capitalize on people's distrust of traditional medical care to sell their programs/solutions.
Right. Because alternative medicine is largely unregulated, or certainly not to the extent that conventional medicine does. So hucksters can make any variety of wild claims to their marks and not have to back anything up.
You're my new favorite creator to watch! I love watching anti MLM content but I have seen so many parallels between MLMs and these unsavory coaching businesses. I'm glad that someone is creating content around these coaching scams

I feel like most people join this industry with the genuine desire to help people... I wonder at what point the switch flips where they no longer care about people and suddenly only start to see dollar signs.
@@itsdanielleryan My guess is: when their 'aMAzInG meThoDZ' stop working and they feel the fire under their asses. Once they feel the $$$ pressure, the good intentions often go out the window (not necessarily consciously - I think they just convince themselves that more and more people need to buy in order to 'be saved').

Contracts people! Contracts! Read them, or better, avoid them with life coaches. If you arent 100% confident you can take every ounce of action without that coach lifting a finger, it is A WASTE OF MONEY. Information is everywhere. Motivate and self educate. Youll figure it out.
I can relate to a lot of what he went through. Several years I worked with a kundalini coach but then she was also a business coach? When I resisted her scammy marketing tactics she told me I was being dramatic. I was doing all these meditations which ended up being BS because it was all made up by the abusive yogi bhajan. Nothing was happening for me during those months and I was in 20k debt. She was trying to get more money from me even though she knew I was financially struggling and dealing with chronic illness. I found out later from someone that knows her personally that she doesn’t practice what she preaches and she has money problems and in debt herself. Lesson learned!
as a new entrepreneur I want SOLID business advice not shamanic healing. it's crazy how many business coaches are employing "spirituality". If I'm not selling my products there has to be something wrong with my business strategy not my soul. omg. so dangerous. stay AWAY from spiritual coaches for ANYTHING - business, love, relationships. just stay away. also am personally annoyed that spiritual coaches are popular with female entrepreneurs. like seriously??? women have brains. why do we have to "manifest" & "cleanse" in order to get results. it makes me livid.
Yes there is serious professional training to be a therapist having with with a nightmare spiritual coach they taught me some good techniques but did not create a safe space

Its really prominent around southern California, because Deepak Chopras "institute" is in Carlsbad CA and so many people are sucked into it.

Okay, I have to respond to this idea of LOA being about giving you back control and empowerment. Anyone who sees this. I am not a therapist. But in grad school I started my thesis on narrative theory, which led me research extensively every angle about trauma, every therapy, EMDR, war veterans stories, the Vietnam War, WW . How the survival system work. Extensively researched for 10+ years. And wrote about trauma. As well as interviewed people. And continued my research even after grad school. And what I noticed more and more I learned about LOA, is this philosophy, in my opinion and based on my extensive research is based in trauma responses. Because one of the things taught in therapy of trauma recovery is understanding how to reconcile that we can not control everything. And focus on what we can control and how we can learn to recognize our triggers and use tools to work through that triggering. And a lot of trauma survivors have developed maladaptive control coping mechanisms, which is a normal trauma response. But the LOA perpetuates this type belief in controlling everything. And you can "prevent" future traumas but "realizing" you created your past traumas. Thus reinforcing this very destructive toxic and borderline abusive philosophy. I strongly believe a lot of people who hold so tightly to this practice even though, it makes no sense, they cannot allow it be questioned because it's coming from the trauma response that needs to believe one can control everything. Because the trauma that someone couldn't control is still unresolved and needs this false belief to feel safe, which sadly can cause more trauma. Especially if another trauma happens after this person has begun using the LOA and starts to believe that have ultimate control over everything that happens to them. Also, I think it's very relevant to understand one of the biggest gurus of LOA ester and jerry hicks who introduced the world to Abraham Hicks, come from the experience of an MLM. Jerry Hicks, Esters husband was high level in the company Amway. We cannot over look that Abraham Hicks is a business created by Ester and Jerry Hicks.
It's very unfortunate how deeply people can get pulled into this industry thinking the solutions to their problems are just one more coach or course away. I've definitely been there... when you're in it, you can't see it.
To keep it simple anyone who uses scientific babble like “quantum” -run! and don’t get me wrong quantum physics is real but actual physicists have a hard time explaining it and have even different belief in the theories! I feel for this guy cause he still believes in spirituality side, and it isn’t bad- but angel numbers, coaches, psychics, dream interpretation it’s murky stuff for a reason. It’s easy to deceive ppl with. I’m leaning more and more towards Catholicism- and I don’t agree with a lot but it’s good for me to come to relationship with God. And you what they have spiritual directors that offer guidance that is not mlm program. that do check in with other church members - it’s hard to do checks and balances with mlm because they don’t. They’re misguided by their desires. But desires are not promises, nor lead, they’re to mold to be humbled I hope this guy if he comes to read comment knows yes there’s a spiritual but mlm pervert it
Respecrfully, the interviwee sounds naieve. "She said she would buy art from me one time in passing. Then dropped me." (Broke a (maybe) verbal contract.) "I literally promised to pay 6,000$ for a service, and broke the contract because its my right when life is inconvenient." Like... Respectfully. If you sign a contract you are often the one losing if you arent aware of its demands. This dude seriously sounds like he was wanting an escape through spiritual coaching. Hearing him rant and dis something while being ABSOLUTELY IRRESPONSIBLE in most respects is goofy. A charlattan mad they got scammed by a snake oil salesman.
