Spiritual Maturity: Know Yourself | 06/09/2024 | Message
David sensed a calling from God-in some ways an impossible calling. Take down Goliath. When Saul eventually gave in to let him attempt, he dressed David in his armor. But David couldn’t move in that. David was self-aware enough to know who he was and who he wasn’t. We are not called to be anyone else, but the person God created us to be. But so often we put on other people’s armor. We pretend to be people we aren’t. Maturing with God is learning to be the best version of ourselves, not necessarily to fit any one else’s mold.
