I ordered these and just started one, they are wonderfully soothing but a lot of work due to the size of the spirals, the Disney Villian is also on its way

Incredibly soothing but it's amazing how much ink you use doing a page. I ended up just buying some cheap pens because I was using too much and running out of ink with the fancy pens. I'm a little jealous that you are getting Disney Villians! You'll have to tell me how good it is and if I should splurge and buy it! Stay safe. Happy coloring x

Congratulations on finishing this book. I have all of these and I’m not near finishing any of them. I always use gel pens in these.

This is the second one that I've finished from this series - so relaxing! My gel pens just aren't up to this job. If I get another one I'll just use biro I think ....much cheaper! Happy coloring x

Have you tried regular pencil? I've completed one in black marker pen and found the paper was too porous for the pen to flow smoothly. On my second one, I'm using a regular #2 pencil, but haven't completed it yet, so don't know what the end result will be. I think the pencil goes on more smoothly and easily, so doesn't cause as much hand strain as the pen did. (I also like the fact that I can erase marks that get outside the lines.)

Hi Elaine, the first book that I completed I used pencil on a picture. It was fabulous to work with for all the reasons that you mention ...but the pencil did transfer to the reverse of the page in front of it. That doesn't bother me though and if it did I guess I could spray it with fixative. The image does tend to use up a lot of product (much more than what it looks) and for that reason (because I'm a cheapskate lol) I'll probably just use regular biros in future if I get another book. Would it be difficult with water brush?

I would say that it would be very difficult. Some of those iines are very fine ...but if you had a fine brush and a steady hand ..it could be okay. Personally I wouldn't try it because I don't have a steady hand. You could however create some great effects if you weren't worried about going out of the lines and just sploshed your water colors on. Happy colroing x

Hi Lea I just got this book and don’t want to watch the video and spoil the finished pages for myself but was wondering what pen/markers you have found work best, I did my first with a felt tip pen and that was ok, my second I used a brand new pentel hybrid dual metallic and it used up the entire pen! 🙈 can’t keep doing that 😅 what do you suggest? Thanks

Hi Debbie, I hope you enjoy your book. In the video I covered the numerous different supplies that I used on each drawing. As a lot of the supplies were expensive, for my budget, I preferred to use just a biro. Stay safe. Happy coloring x

After having my expensive pens run out completely doing these pictures and having to buy more, I ended up just buying a cheap packet of normal biros. I think the brand was Pentel and you could get a number of pens in different colors in the packet. That worked out the best value for me! Happy coloring x
