D-Low taught me this sound, and it took me about 4 weeks to get it to beginner level. Now, after several months, I can do a spit snare in a few ways, thanks D-Low!
It took me 1 week to learn the spit snare Even though it's been three weeks since then I still can't use it in beat because my focus is on liproll and I learned it as well Now I am trying throat bass and it's really hard.
MAD RESPECT to DLow for giving us a brief history of these sounds. As someone really getting into the beatbox community I love hearing about that type of stuff! Good looking out DLow, you a pioneer yourself ✌🏽
Wow, just been linked to this. What a throwback. Amazing to hear a reference to my snare from all those years ago. My parents would tell you that I was annoying them with that sound in the mid 90s, and probably still have the cassettes tapes that I used to record my first beats on, haha. Beatboxing has definitely been taken to a whole new level now. Amazing skills D-low. Keep progressing bro. Seb (Desebel)
I'm a huge fan of this tutorial style. Explain history if possible, demonstrate multiple ways to perform technique, and all explained thoroughly. Great job. You've also convinced me that I'm on my way to doing the spit snare, rather than my thoughts of me being stuck in terrible form.
Actually one of the only sounds I can do and I did it by accident but I always wanted to know the technicalities behind it and how you do yours so I am so happy about this detailed tutorial!
I already can do that sound and mastered it( Just the upper lip technique). But there is always a way of improvement and clean in up, especially when dlow is teaching . Big ups bro love your videos. ESH!
Being a drummer for 27 years now I can say that dude has a TON of talent with naturally being able to count music and conceive rhythms. It’s just something some people have while others are still clapping on 1 & 3…smh 😂
What took this for so long!!! I have watched way back 6 years ago with this tutorial and yet half of this video I have just got the correct Spit Snare. You are the BEST and CONCISE BEATBOX PROFESSOR DLow!!! Love from the Philippines
Thank you so much D- low... I learned easily by your tutorial, im so happy because i couldn't learn this snare for a long time even i saw other tutorials
I was struggling with this sound because i used an old method, but this is so much easier and i learned very fast. Thank you very nuch D-low you're such an inspiration
Thanks for the tutorial! Now I finally understood how the sound is actually made. I watched other explanations and they just confused me. Also the video gave me a good advise how to check if I make lip sounds right. Just hum while practicing the sounds!
Thank you lots D-low I can now somewhat do the spit snare so now I am gonna watch your video for two weeks to make sure I am doing everything right and to make sure I can sounds like you :) I know I can’t do it thank you lots again man for your help.
It's so hard to do I've been practicing for months and still can't do it but I'm not giving up because of your motivational speech and I want to sound just like you, your beats make me blown away.
Bro I legit got it as you were explaining it, it’s not great but I found out how to do it, thank you so much, you my fav beatboxer and it’s funny you were the only one who could explain it to me to where I would understand lol
thank you for giving multiple ways it can be used which provides a wide range of possibility, you're a god and my biggest inspiration, keep it going bruv
An awesome tutorial. Struggled at first but after a couple of hours of practice it started ti sound like a snare. Tried top lip over lapping versus bottom lip overlapping and I felt like the former sounded cleaner.
I have been watching tutorials on this for a while and just couldn't get it. It was the blowing raspberries comment that made it sort of click and now i can work on the sound and technique properly. Cheers again.
DeSEBel is actually legendary damn, skiller said he was the first person to do the liproll, and now dlow said he's the first person to do the spit snare, wow big ups to him!!
And his spit snare was recognizable too, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vbAVcPy5wcc.html He uses it right when his round starts. He also does inward kick drums which are in a liproll position throughout the video.
Wow, thank you bro. I was just making sounds all those years ago. Amazing after being out of the loop for all these years to see that everything has been given specific names, and taken to a whole new level now. Did Skiller say that in a video? I'd love to see if there is any other footage from back in the day. Seb (Desebel)
@@sebatkin2500 much love and respect to you dude!you've done a lot for the community and deserve a lot more respect.also here's the video of Skiller:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2XGHKe4W-7Q.html
When bruv teaches you don't just get a tutorial you get a beatbox origin explaination of its history and pioneers lol I really appreciate it m8 that's shit I love knowing
dude this is a insane video but... u sounded like a robot for a little bit lol but still super sick video and thank you so much I love the spit snare and u explained it incredibly well and executed it rly rlly well. great video!
One of my personal favorite beatbox sounds is definitely the liproll but i never fought i could get it because i never understood it, so i started with your tutorial (plus like 2-3 to understand the idea of how to do it) and managed to get it decently in like 2 days, and after a couple of weeks i think im good enough on it.
Wow! I was doing bottom lip for ages, now I have watched this video I realise its easier to transition to the next sound from the top lip. The bottom lip leaves my jaw further forward after Pushing out air and I have to reset more. I think top lip FTW Thanks Dlow
Just got the sound. I already think it is good enough for me to put in a beat but I will practice a bunch. I really like that you can do this sound while humming. I just did it while humming throat bass and it sounded great.
