At the 2019 DockDogs World Championships, Spitfire broke the indoor speed retrieve world record and set a new one of 3.564. The previous speed retrieve world record was broken just minutes before by Sounders with a 3.7xx. Spitfire was in second place and in order to win the championship title he had to break the world record, which is exactly what he did. Spitfire had then won the Speed Retrieve World Champion title for the 3rd year in a row.
