Thank you. During our stay in October it was between 0 to 10-12 degrees. Tents will be much colder but manageable if you have proper mattresses and blankets. Tents should be setup at places like Kaza or Tabo only. In higher villages, it will be very difficult at night due to chilly winds and less oxygen.

Shimla se Kaza ek din mei karna mushqil hai. Agar kar bhi pao to Nako ke baad to shaam hi jayegi. Agar Reckongpeo se subah start karo to Nako-Tabo-Dhankar karte hue Kaza pahunch sakte ho.
For winters, unplanned by bus is best. You can plan for villages on the highways like Nako, Tabo and Kaza which can be covered by bus. Rest depending on time available and snow you can hitchhike or take cab from Kaza to nearby villages.
