bro, splat is so iffy sometimes but I'm watching videos of people using it because I just bought some splat dye. I always use this brand, despite being unhappy with my personal results sometimes. 😂

In My Girl's Experience.... Use Vasilene Around ears neckline hairline and hands to avoid color stains . Also for a more vibrant color leave overnight w showercap. Since the actual color dye has no chemicals like the bleech it is safe . & to top it off wash in cooler water to avoid fast fading!! Thank me later & TRY AGAIN YOU WILL BE AMAZED !!

DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY READ & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THESE VIDEOS?!🙅 Dude, your supposed to dry your hair B4 adding the color. Would've turned out a bit better🤦..?🤷.. I've been using Splat for 8 yrs & it always turns out perfect. I have long thick dark brown hair & use 2-3 boxes but YES it comes out PERFECT! Checking out vids 2C which looks better dark to light or vis versa. Red still in my hair, I'm doing this Blue Ocean ombre.

Although the fact that you like it is the most important, next time I'd add a few steps to really get the color you were aiming for. First, your hair was already dyed so use a color remover (color oops works well). Then deep condition it over the next few days. Then, use the bleach. But since your color level was so dark already, you will need to repeat the bleach process more than once. This is where you can really damage your hair if you're not careful and really give your hair the correct nutrients after the bleach process each time. Rule of thumb is: Level 10 is the really platinum/white blonde and level 1 is jet black or something that resembles midnight black (purple and blue sheen to it).. They say you should only ever go up 2 levels at a time when bleaching or lightening your hair as to give it time to "rest" and cause minimal damage. After the second bleach/conditioning/rest time, THEN go back and put the color desired. It will be much more vibrant and look closer to what shows on the box. But again, it doesn't look bad and you like it, so that's all that matters!

I think you should have bleached one more time to make the colors brighter

The splat colors don't always come out the right colors half the time. I did try the splat ocean ombre. It was nice and vibrant in my hair, but it faded out within 2 weeks or so

You should never start at the root first when you bleach your hair you will get hot roots start at the end let it process for about 10-15minutes then bleach the roots

I'm glad you like it but you should have bleached your hair again bc your mids didn't look like it was bleached at all
