Frye is an inkling, and specifically a vampire squid! Aside from her fangs, they have pointy protrusions like her ears, and glow in the dark tips on their limbs (appendages?) like her fingers and toes.

Shiver is an Octoling and Frye is an Inkling! Once you memorize the differences between species, it’s really easy to tell. Octolings have rounded ears and the black around their eyes doesn’t connect above the nose (making it look like a sort of mask) while Inklings have pointy ears and a “black mask” around their eyes. You can also tell them apart by the hair. Octolings simply have the suckers on the “outside”, while Inklings have them on the “inside” of their hair

Shiver is indeed an octoling, but people have said that Frye is actually a humanoid Moray eel, hence the pronounced fangs and big head. I personally thought she was more related to Captain Cuttlefish’s species (cuttlings?) because they share the same large head and long, thin pointed ears. I’m not so sure Frye is an inkling though.

Frye is a vampire squid, that's why she has the fangs, big eyes, and purple fingers and toes. So she's an inkling but instead of being based on a squid she's a vampire squid.

i just realized what Frye is, she is a vampire squid, if you know what those are, that explains the fangs, the sharp ears, and (yes this also explains this) her fore head (and i dont mean that as a joke) and that also explains her weird looking eyes, so now that i really look at her, she is indeed a vampire squid, and also Shiver represents either the dumbo octopus or the flapjack octopus which are both species that can be found in japan waters, this is shown by her ear shape and her hair

Harmony is a sea anemone! Shiver is an octoling; all octolings have rounded tips on their ears. They're also believed to be nonbinary. They're from a family of shark users. Frye is an inkling; all inklings have pointed tips on their ears. Her design is based on that of a vampire squid. She's from a family of eel users.
