Awe this was so cute! My heart honestly melted when she spared them -laughed my ass when she shot the elite-. Such a vulnerable moment for them all, and it's nice to show 3 actually not hurting them when their guard is down / they're defenseless. An agent who doesn't fight dirty is a good agent, and even so she kinda... left something behind for them and gave them a chance to get another chance at life, a chance to find a life of peace much like 8 had.

The amount of emotion put into each movement in each character is so great that you don't even need the subtitles to know what they're saying and what they mean. I've never seen this kind of animation so well-done. It's always robotic and stiff and fake, but you've managed to do it so well it's as if Nintendo did it themselves!

Alright I THINK I know why agent 3 feels bad when she sees the drawing on the wall (2:46) maybe because the octolings had to live underground and never actually been on the surface before so the drawing was kind of all they had and on top of that the female octoling looked like agent 8 thus agent 3 left them alone

I felt that too, but that Octoling Girl you're referring to is different, the Agent 8's eyes are yellow, it's quite clear from John Sandwich's Ticket animation.
