I had spleen weakness starting many years ago. But it got reality bad about 6 years ago after many bad things and stress happened. During that time all my health and energy started to go down. Extreme exhaustion, organ prolapse, anemia, terrible digestion, malabsorption, autoimmune diseases, rosacea etc
@@Acuproacademy thank you. This video was awesome. I knew my spleen was part of the problem for years. I'm going to try ee system and meditation and chi gong and try eating rice and yams and fruit and bitter food. Diseases start in subconscious mind and traumas and anxiety etc. Acupuncture would be great too. Thank you
I gave my mom Ren Shen Jian Pi Wan to use as she’s been having a lot of watery diarrhea and digestive issues recently. Also giving her probiotics and foods like pumpkin soup with a pinch of nutmeg, ginger tea or sometimes chamomile taa, fluids like coconut water or rehydration salts and also treating her acupuncture of course. She’s feeling much better now. She had also taken some meds from an allopathic doctor before but that didn’t work to stop her from having bad diarrhea so I gave her Chinese Herbs and that’s what really helped her significantly. TCM is a God sent.
@@candicem7260 hi, when ever your mom gets diarrhea give her 1tsp physillum husk in small bowl of yoghurt add 3tblspn water add pinch of pepper and cummin and salt.
This is so wild. This makes sense. I started eating sweet potatoes just because and ginger tea with sarsaparilla and cinammon. I would finally feel warm again.
Thank you for producing and sharing this video. As a TCM student as well as someone suffering from Spleen Qi deficiency, your explanation on the symptoms, causes and consequences is concise, clear and helpful.
Well explained...thank you so much Clara🙏🙏...Today on 5 th September, we Indians celebrate Teachers Day . My heartfelt gratitude to you for enhancing my learning in TCM. Happy Teachers Day!!! 💐
I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🥰 watch the Liver Qi stagnation one and let me know if you like it as well 🌷 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BWdAeKxLAzA.html
Also, knowing I had re occurent problems in this pattern,I HAD been doing very well eating a warm cooked lunch of the vegetables described, plus a side dish of lightly grilled chicken,in a relaxed manner, my spleen was very HAPPY and I felt all, interestingly an unexpected verbal attack by a friend, set the whole digestive system out of whack extending to involvement of kidney and lung energy. This pattern often happens to me and I have tried to explain to significant others that it COSTS me so much energy balance wise in the time out being undisclosed when I could be doing something creative.I AM SO GLADTHAT I KNOW WHAT TO DO, and your professional advice confirms it. Thankyou,Clara.
WoW 🎉 Finally a comprehensive picture of how ER Nurses and Paramedics become multi system WTF sick … thank you ❤ I have been deep diving self study of TCM for several years to try and tie MANY seemingly unrelated signs and symptoms together ❤

Can you please mention a Formula that also included Yang deficiency? Or blood deficiency? Thank you…I see why everyone is saying thank you in the comments! This is the most helpful information I’ve come across since finding TCM, in person and online. You’re helping alleviate suffering im very appreciative!
@@Heidi7_ thank you Heidi 🥰 there are many blood deficiency formulas and Yang deficiency too depending on which TCM organ is affected 🙏 Ba Zheng Tang is great for SP & LV Blood deficiency but Gui Pi Tang is better for SP & HT blood deficiency. So it has to be more specific to each patient 🌷
Thank you very much, it was my diagnosis too. I love your explanations, your charisma. You helped me so much so far 🙏🙏🙏 Love your books, love your channel❣❣❣
I am so happy I found your channel! My bladder and uterus collapsed a two years ago and you were the first person to say the spleen is not holding the functions, I always had spleen deficiency and makes a lot sense, thank you for this great class . Do you have a suggestion for my bladder and uterus prolapse. I think because my spleen deficiency don’t matter the diet I do I can’t loose excess weight. I appreciate your suggestions ❤
I’m glad you benefited from my content 🌷 acupuncture & Chinese herbs are the best for prolapse depending on the stage and severity. If you can’t loose weight there might more to it than a Spleen deficiency (stress, emotional trauma, thyroid issue…). I would suggest you go see a qualified acupuncturist in your area to guide you 💜
@@Acuproacademy Thank you for your response. I am seeing acupuncturists since I was 11 years old. I have a prolapse because an acupuncturist physician was doing a lot moxibustion in my front abdominal and back areas and my organs didn't hold the treatment. I want you to know that and hope others will see my response and will be caution with moxibustion.
Clara, Thankyou so much,I was excited to get the last TCM diagnosis correct,so I went into my phone to assess the Acu pro Academy correct address, And the very matter I was pondering on was on the Spleen functions and Liver stagnation.Thankyou
Perfect 😍 I’m so happy you got your answer 💜 also on my website resources page you can use the search bar to look up anything to help you figure it all out when you’re stuck 😍
What a beautiful and useful video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. The formulas that you mentioned - do you drink them as tea or any other form - how often and what time please 🙏
The formula can be taken on capsule, tea, tinctures or soup. The dosage depends on the form and the patient weight. Herbal formulas are quite effective but one need to be knowledgeable about them in order yo use them safely 🌷🥰
This is an amazing video. Thank you so much. Can you use both of the formulas together? Or should you use one first for a certain amount of time and then add the other one later for example, if someone has severe gut issues, but also some symptoms of, exhaustion and weakness and weight loss, should you use the first one for a certain amount of time and then once the digestion gets better, add the other one? And should you stop the first one before adding the second one? Or can you take those together? Thanks again!
Not together 🙏 one at a time is always best but should be the proper formula for each patient as they’re very specific 🌷 it’s important to see a qualified practitioner to get the appropriate formula 🙏💗
This is a great video, I like Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang formula too, but to my understanding there is a contraindication for one having heat from Yin deficiency. What would you recommend in that case. Do you thing formula like Da Bu Yin Wan can be correct to prescribe with Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang? THANK YOU
I hear a lot about avoiding sugar. Can u be specific about it? Everything we eat produces sugar as a byproduct in metabolizing food. How about fruits (fructose), beans. In western medicine the insulin level is said to respond directly in relation to sugar. In TCM it seems to be different approach. What sugar in particular r u talking about?
@@albertkoenig684 I’m talking about white sugar (cookies, ice cream…) 🙏 fruits are fine in moderation and when cooked are best for spleen Qi deficiency. Beans are great too.
Do these apply to severe ulcerative colitis symptoms too? I am in a bad flare and having a lot of bowel movements with blood and mucous. I have no energy at all. I do not have access to a chinese medicine doctor but is there something to slow down the diarrhea?
I’m so sorry you’re suffering but unfortunately I can’t help as I would need to do a full consultation 🙏 It’s very difficult to self treat. Here’s my post on colitis 🌷 acuproacademy.com/basic-tcm-treatment-ulcerative-colitis/
Thank you! I will read this for sure. I am being treated with standard flare meds but still suffering so I an always looking for alternative ways to help!
I have spleen deficiency dampness....i understand it by looking tounge with teeth marks....i am always bloated (severe gastric issues) with weak digestive system and epigastric pain.... dull face with severe cystic acne.....what should i eat to overcome this problem....
I absolutely love your video's! Thank you so much. I have a lot of Spleen Qi dif symptoms (I also suffer from rheumatoid arthritis for 35 years now), but regarding the diet, I have a lot heat symptoms (menopause), do I leave out the warming herbs like cinnamon?
So happy you enjoy my content 😍 yes cinnamon can be omitted for sure 🙏 Usually I recommend a warm diet during the day to nourish the Qi but a cooling one in the evening to nourish Yin 😍
Yes. The spleen is the Yee. Its the conscious. I was blessed with really good strong Spleen 🙏. Spleen is amazing for treatment....i use Spleen 3 a ton , Spleen 4 ,. I also use 5 with 9 if they show pain on SP2. Or have diarrhea i use 5/9 on the left and liver 4/8 on the Rt side I use sp9 a ton. Especially for L5 issues or hips with SP6,. I use 10 with 6 and PC points for anemia. Ill add ST 36 to sp3 indication,. And ST40 with SP4. LUO or ill use the bumps next to the bone on the stomach channel. They release many reflexes. Esp SCM ST 9 area
Hi I have both spleen deficiency and colon issues which we think is caused due to spleen. As one is dampness and colon is dryness …. How do I manage the diet ? Focus on healing the spleen ? Your advice would be appreciated . I have decided to focus on spleen as not absorbing food and water ( also have liver kidney issues)
Sorry unfortunately as I don’t know your full health history, diet, stress level…I don’t know and I can’t consult online as per my license 🙏 I suggest you go see a qualified practitioner in your area to guide you 🌷
I have a patient with itchy genitals and poor sleep from overthinking. Poor appetite and diet. I would love ideas on diagnosis. Spleen Damp Heat came up. I would add Yin Deficiency, but that conflicts with Dampness. Also, I cannot needle outside of school. I was thinking ear Shen Men, Liver (for external genitals) Lung for skin and now Spleen for Dampness.
Many patient who have dampness also are Yin deficiency so it’s tough to treat, but very common. Liver 5 is the best point for external genitalia issues. Diagnosis wise, it’s not enough for me to determine unfortunately…tongue, pulse? Itchiness is internal wind (which affects liver) but it stems from something else 🙏
maybe since i live in a very damp climate, i would have added it to the causes, since Chinese people around me here constantly trying to clear up Spleen Dampness through their diet (Guangdong)
Totally agree with you 😍 mostly damp environment affects the TCM Lung first though, and eventually the spleen 🙏 so not a direct cause of Spleen Qi deficiency 🌷
What about red meat? I have been making progress eating beef. I love pumpkin potatoes and sweet potato but I feel potatoes especially feed fungus damp.
@@Acuproacademy really ?. In theory I get it but that doesn't make sense in my daily practice. I've actually seen the most healing in my body since switching to a Carnivore way of eating. I have tried all other ways of vegetarian eating for the past 20 years. How should a person eat animal protein then? Fish is terrible in my stomach.
@@CatWoman6 It doesn't mean because meat is damp that it's bad for you, bananas are damp, nuts, cheese, sugar, alcohol...Also it depends what kind of meat you eat, some are less damp than others (white turkey meat is neutral). It's all about balance 😍🌷
@@Acuproacademy I understand what you're saying but what I'm telling you is that I can't tolerate nuts Bananas cheese sugar etc etc etc I was diagnosed with severe Spleen Qi deficiency - I have ME/CFS (Lyme and co-infections) and I've been battling a disabled debilitating state of health for the past 26 years. Bedridden/can't walk easily kind. Since switching to an Animal based diet RED MEAT (Beef/lamb) and ghee and some goat milk I am actually healing for the first time in all these years. I tried all Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine constitutionally appropriate diets for my condition recommended by the relative Practitioners and I just got nowhere and felt I was constantly climbing uphill. I am not 100% yet but have come so far that I can function mostly and recover quicker when my body is pushed past its energy limit. So this is why I wonder why would that be? I have high mould Candida and TickBourne infections - low appetite hunger malabsorption cold fatigue etc etc white on tongue. I thought red meat was the hardest to digest? But is turning out to give me most results after exhausting all other forms of diet for 20 plus years. I know I'm just someone who don't know but my suffering has been beyond this world. So to get any real healing is nothing short of a miracle.
@@Acuproacademy an apple would make me sick. All grains say like a rock in my stomach .. cooked fruit not much better. So diet balance (as in variety) wasn't actually applicable for my condition. I know other chronically ill people who have fully healed or who are healing on an animal based way of eating. Turns out the nutrition is more bioavailable. This is what I've first hand experience in my very depleted malnourished state. I love Sweet potato for eg. but makes me super itchy as it feeds the damp. Maybe pumpkin is less . but no protein and protein from an animal source is what is healing my body and the good quality fats.
Although this video has amazing information about Qi spleen deficency, I would warn people to not take Chinese herbal supplements as they have lots of heavy metals in them. As someone who does HTMA hair analysis regularly (for over 6 years), all of the Nutritional Balancing practioners I've worked with say that the clients they have had whose hair analysis had the worst toxicity were acupuncteurs who took lots of Chinese herbs. Though I agree with everything else in this video, I would warn peopke to stay away from the Chinese herbal recommandations!
@@karmatoys thank you for sharing 🥰 I agree with you on the herbs, so true. But It depends on the source, here in Canada we grow organic Chinese herbs that can safely be taken 🌷☯️
hi clara, I believe I have Spleen Qi Deficiency- the reasons are mucus after eating fatty/spicy foods, diarrhea/sometimes constipation.lately problems with bladder. Is Spleen Qi Deficiency is chronic or can be fixed permanently?(I believe I have it for 10 years today I'm 31 years old). Is it can be a result of excessive sex?
@@Acuproacademy I have a practitioner I did something like 5 sessions but I don't seee any results yet. does Spleen Qi Deficiency is usually chronic or can be fixed permanently? Is it can be a result of excessive sex?
@@uriel100100 it can be dealt with permanently but diet change is a must, I don’t think excessive sex is the cause 🙏 did your acupuncturist talked about eating a diet to nourish your spleen? 🌷
@@uriel100100 watch the end of the video, I talk about the best foods for spleen Qi deficiency 🙏 warm cooked foods, no dairy, no gluten, no fried processed foods. Spinach cooked is great, not raw. No cold drinks or cold foods. Soft foods like salmon, eggs, stews are great. Oatmeal is damp, but Quinoa is great and dries dampness. Ginger, cinnamon, almond butter are great too 🌸
Can you please inform me - I have a large intramural uterine fibroid with very scanty bleeding at menstrual period. Slight pain in liver gallbladder region. What does it stem from - spleen or liver deficiency ?? I was doing raw vegetables juicing ? Will it be too harsh and will it not help ?? I need to shrink it, to start trying to conceive. M very much stressed due to this issue - can you please guide or atleast show a way. Your videos are really helpful. Thanks so much for putting them out 🥰
I would recommend you see a qualified practitioner in your area to help as I don’t know your health history 🙏 emotions are a huge part of imbalances too, especially fibroids (that needs to be addressed too) 💕💕
